A place to live! Was homeless before with a 2 year old son so I know how hard life can be & how important a home is! NEVER take anything for granted because you can lose it in a heartbeat!

Music !
Could very cheerfully survive without a phone - had four years living where there was no landline and no mobile reception - loved it...lived without electricity and had three months where we had one outside tap for water.. showers involved filling up two buckets, boiling a kettle and adding it to the buckets.. washing self and hair with the first bucket, then rinsing off with the second .. and this was mostly over winter at 4 am when the average temperature was around 0c.
But music is indispensible...

I agree with callie-rose a home to live in. I have had to make due at times so a place to live is most important. I can get by without most everything else. I sure would miss the high speed Internet connection though. ;)

For a second I thought reply #105 was a cold response to #103.
I need Ritz crackers and sardines in Louisiana hot sauce.

I never thought I would say this, but my ipad. From electronic books, to waking in the night and reaching over to do one extra word quiz.

Perfumes, cigarettes and wine. Funny combination. Well, I could live without all of them, but so so:)

The question was what luxury could you not live without. I have been homeless and considering that literally, air, water, food, shelter, clothing are all that you need to survive, and anything else is considered a luxury,i would have to say that i could survive without any at all.
It's easy to forget that many do.

I don't know if they'd really be considered a luxury, but I would find it very difficult to live without books.

My android phone on which I can access the internet, read books, listen to music, watch films, take photos, make videos, send texts and, of course, make calls.

Do good friends count as a luxury?

As long as I have a good book close by, I'm gold!
