I've reached the Fifteen Categories, but not the Country badge. So that one is my concern for this year. I'll also try to become Immortal in GC14 (I'm way back in the current one).

I have quite a lot of FunTrivia goals in my Day Zero project, which is a project to complete 101 goals in 1001 days, though I think some of mine could be done by the end of this year! I'll go for 50 quizzes (I have 34), 100 single questions (I have 65), and hopefully Division 9 in Global Challenge. :) I guess in general I just want to get back into FT - the writing goals at least are quite reachable with regular work :)
Good luck to everyone with their goals!

My 2010 goal was 200 quizzes, and I was definitely defeated by real life. I closed less than half the distance in 2010.
My new goals for 2011:
1. Get my real-life project sorted. Once that's done, I'll have plenty of time for FT goals! (Or at least, more time.)
2. Two hundred quizzes. It should be doable without too much pain as long as I can get #1 in the next month or two. Only 27 quizzes to go!
3. 100 mini-badges.
4. Somehow keep up with Religion and Humanities editing in the meantime! :-)

You'll need Terry and Wesley to do their Dynamic Duo mojo and make the mini badges first CD! :-D

On Funtrivia:
1. Clear out all the templates I've started.
2. Write a Brain Teasers crossword. (That would give me crosswords in all 20 categories.)
In Real Life:
1. Write and publish two vampire articles (one on 1700s Serbia, one on the Hmong people).
2. Organize a great panel on Victorian-era imperialism.

Oooh, finishing out unfinished templates. Nice resolution, Stu! I'm going to borrow that ...
Your real-life goals sound intriguing, too!

Is there a long-standing vampire tradition among the Hmong? Having stayed in a Hmong village a few years ago, I'd be intrigued to read that article.

Let me expand my 2011 goals now that I have more time....
-8,000,000 total points (that's a lot of points, an average of 4,109 points a day)
-Level 150 (I'm 8 levels away, 8,000,000 points will give me two more levels, so I only need 6 more badges... And I am close to a few, and in a year's time, I can win a few more long-term badges)
-Finally get the second Question Quest badge (I'm currently at 41, need 9 more good questions)
-300 quizzes (65 to go. That gives me 300 days of not getting quizzes online, so it is very easily doable for me)
Real-life....
-Stop procrastinating in school while trying to get all my FunTrivia goals.

Snowman, this is a "discovery" of mine in original fieldwork. Literally nothing has been published about it, though published Hmong mythology does feature several vampiric precursors. I only have a couple relevant interviews under my belt now; my goal is to do some more fieldwork in April, write it up, and get it published somewhere nifty.

Oh, and they are the easiest. Your info section research is all done by reading the book - you tell us more about the character or incident the question is about, and done.

Yes, if you are writing a quiz a book you've read, they aren't too terribly difficult to write, definitely.
Same as video games; describing the incident is all that is needed for some questions, as agony pointed out; so you don't even need to do any research to put the II in a question (unless you need to reference a certain quote in the book and need to look through the book to find it...)
And the best part; you don't even need to research the release date or anything; everything is in the book. :D
Of course, literature quizzes are almost worse than video games when it comes to the rating game; it'll take forever to get them rated. But they usually get high ratings because only the players who have read the book play the quiz.
I need to start writing more literature quizzes... And, of course, me saying that probably just gave agony an incentive to bug me about writing in literature. ;) And I will. :P

These were my 2011 goals...
-8,000,000 total points. SERIOUSLY? 10,000 POINTS AWAY?
-Level 150. I HAVE HIT A ROADBLOCK, STILL DON'T HAVE LEVEL 150
-Finally get the second Question Quest badge. STILL NOTHING!
-300 quizzes. ACCOMPLISHED AND WELL BEYOND
Real-life....
-Stop procrastinating in school while trying to get all my FunTrivia goals. ACCOMPLISHED

And now for 2012 goals.
- 9,000,000 total points (I can't say 10 mil, that's 5,500 a day, and I don't play on weekends, or get that many points, even counting points for writing quizzes!)
- Level 150, if it didn't happen last year it better happen this year. :P
- 400 quizzes. It's a low-ish goal, as it's only a little more than 60 quizzes in a year, but 450 seems pushing it. Perhaps 425 instead.
- My goal is to get a quiz with a rating under 300, to beat a previous record.
- Another editor's choice would be nice...
- Never miss a commission. I haven't yet! ;-)
- Win (I'll settle with top 3) the Amazing Quiz Race
- Get that stinkin' Question Quest badge! I'm at 49 for goodness sakes. ;)
Lot of little easy goals, with a few not-as-easy goals. I think I'll reach most of them. See you all next year!

My 2011 goal was 100 quizzes, which I managed with ease thanks to QuiWriMo. My new goal for 2012 is going to be an ambitious 200 and I'm also aiming to get to number one in my class. This ought to be easy as the player ahead of me hasn't been on here for over a year, but I'm still miles behind him. If he comes back, I'm sunk.

For two years running I've had a goal of getting my 200th quiz online, but I think 2012 will finally be the year! (Especially since I met 2011's Goal #1 regarding an all-devouring real-life project...)
In 2011 the FT goal I'm proudest of was clearing out all of my remaining quiz templates. In 2012 I hereby resolve to have all quizzes finished within six months of starting them. I know my limits. :-)
