The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

I use to be quite the coin collector. Still have a few loose ones and a few sets kicking around, but gave it up because of the escalating cost of having a decent collection.

Hockey cards, hockey pucks (I have a really interesting one from the winter olympics of 2006. Being from Colorado, it has all of the names of the players from the Colorado Avalanche who played for their respective countries, as well as a graphic of the flag of each country.)

Always collected maps of the places I have been. Some collect mugs or thimbles, but I find that maps are as good as photographs for bringing back good memories

You can add diecast cars to my Predator and Spawn collection. I also collect McFarlane sports figures. Just Packer currently. I hope to get other players I like when I have extra money.

I collect stamps. The U.S. Post office offers a book with all the stamps that were for sale for the previous year. It includes a story of the stamp and when and where it was first released. It's a very informative book.

I've collected various things in the past. Stamps when I was young, hockey and baseball cards when my boys were young, odd coins etc...but they in turn are now collecting dust.
I had a collection of autographed photos of various movie and tv stars as well as politicians from around the world. I sent away for them back in the 60s and sold them on ebay a few years ago.

shido22 I've collected old esoteric books for many years. But after amassing several hundred and then having to move myself three times, I'm ready to sell my collection and collect something lighter and less expensive, FT points!
