Topic: What's in your fridge right now?

Subject: What's in your fridge right now?
Date: Feb 12 10

I need to go shopping soon. I have a bag of oranges, a dozen eggs, and a bit of cheese in my refrigerator, and that won't take me far. What do you have in yours?

(True to my player name, I do have some single-malt Scotch on hand, but it's certainly not on ice, at least not yet!)

Daymare, what's gatorade? I heard it on a Scooby Doo episode years ago and always thought it was a made up drink!

Gatorade was created by researchers at the University of Florida. A request was made by the Florida Gators assistant coach, Ray Graves, to create a drink which would rehydrate athletes by replacing minerals lost during workouts, etc., especially in hot weather. It is often dumped on coaches or players when a win is accomplished...why, I don't know...it seems a waste of Gatorade to me.

Florida Gators = Gatorade....

Now, if it could only be made to taste like Mtn. Dew, my life would be complete....lol

I also know about Sloppy Joes.....

:)

lesley153 Two orange peppers, new potatoes, some milk, cheese and butter, half a packet of smoked salmon, a load of jars and bottles, eggs, rosemary and parsley.

Best of all, much cleanness and lots of space. I got a new fridge at last. It came on Sunday lunchtime, it's about half as big again as the previous one, and it is a thing of great beauty.

Congrats on the new fridge, Lesley! The mention of smoked salmon is giving me 'salmon salivation'! YUMMY!

Gatorade. Yum. Mountain Dew flavored Gatorade. YUM. Yes, that would be wonderful.

I have so much crap in the fridge right now that I can't post it all in a single post. So I will just post a few words....

A ton of food, most of it I don't know what's in there.

Since all of the food I made for the holiday went to the parties for which I was invited, I have NO leftovers in my fridge. However, yesterday I received a tin of chewy chocolate-chip cookies and a double chocolate cake shaped like a Christmas tree from friends yesterday. Nice to get goodie gifts AFTER the holiday....except that kills my game plan. I was doing SO well on the 'zero holiday weight-gain' thing! To heck with it! I'm gonna enjoy the food!

Bloodandsand: I took your advice.....so if I develop a "muffin top", I'm gonna blame it all on YOU! Ha ha!

Izzy: Don't ya just hate it when you have to make room in the fridge for FOOD? There ought to be a law.....unless it's munchies that compliment the booze!

Shiningstar7 Milk, juice, pitcher of tea, bread and frozen dinners in the freezer.

Can't explain why, but I actually have FOOD in my fridge now! And....the huge box of chocolate that my neighbors gave me 2 days ago is still in there..UNOPENED. Must be those little health gremlins are busy in my kitchen at night. Now, if I could just get the dishwashing fairies to show up, life would be SWEEEEEET!

lesley153 Someone gave me a mammoth box of chocolates for my 21st birthday. I got round to opening them when I was 23. They were fine!
