When someone is being nasty or cranky, my favourite comment is - "Do you take nasty pills or does it come naturally" Usually stops them in their tracks LOL

Yeah! Daver, that is a good one. Must use it sometime. I used mine recently on a road rage type of fellow in a shopping centre carpark - you should have seen his face, stopped him in mid-sentence. He just took off. I guess he couldn't think up a quick answer LOL

I have a couple things to say (what else is new right?). Firstly I love the MLK quote in the OP's post and I have one that I made up that is somewhat similar. Please don't take this as an attempt to spread any ideology or religion, that is definitely not the intention. It just fits here so perfectly, I think. I call it "Seeds".
I know not everyone believes this and that's fine but I truly believe that all of us have many God given talents and abilities. Sure, you can learn to do something on your own but without that seed of ability that God gave you, you probably won't measure up to someone who does have that seed. It's up to us to make that seed grow and realize our full potential...or not. Some seeds might not grow, like everything else in life, the seed is not guaranteed (hey that rhymes). And there may be seeds that you don't want to make grow. For example, I might have a latent God given talent for changing baby's diapers. I don't know and I really don't care to find out. That seed is staying buried.
The next one is called "I'm Gonna Make You Happy if I have to Die Trying" and it fits perfectly with Elusive Dreams' post just before this one.
This was inspired by Anne Frank's quote..."Whoever is happy will make others happy too." Her seed was astonishing wisdom for someone so young, plus she's a gold mine of happiness and optimism. Incredible for someone facing the torment she did.
When someone (especially someone you love) is unhappy, bombard them with smiles, silliness, jokes and laughter. I swear it works.
Short but sweet, that one. Long and hopefully not too boring, this whole post.
