The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Same here weather wise Lesley, Just had a phone call on my mobile from my Doctor, saying that at this time i do not need another xray according to the specialist.

If i have any more problems make a appointment to see her asap to resolve. Never had a doctor do this till i discovered the one i use now, she is top notch.

On the male doctor thing was one doctor at my practice he is dead and buried now was as you stated, i had a bad asthma attack and was taken to hospital by my mum was treated and we were told it may get worse if so go straight to the hospital and get admitted for treatment.

As my mum explained i was sat in the armchair and had nodded off and for a hour my breathing got worse, she rang for Doctor and was in the days when they did home visits depending on who was on call, this one came out my mum explained the situation too him and he had a go at her accusing her of wanting him to phone a ambulance, she said no what i want is for him to get admitted without waiting for a and e to do it, will be easier to take him straight to asthma hospital which was different to the A & E one.

Was in 7 days being put right and was sent home. Lot easier then going to one hospital then being ferryed accross the city to the other one.

Cannot beleive the temp is 80 F in my lounge again today sun shining in :)

lesley153 Good having a mum who fights for you!

I was at the hospital around midday, and did a few errands in the town centre in the afternoon, all in a cotton t-shirt with elbow-length sleeves, and denim trousers. I took a coat out and left it in the car. Let us make the most of it.

trojan11 The above is very sad, prof. Strange how we remember things from our childhood with such startling clarity, and yet, as the years go by we forget where we put our wallet just afew moments before; don't worry prof, you'll get there. :)

As for home visits. Yes, another great shame. The only 'home visits' that UK folk can look forward to these days, it would seem, is from the police.

Hope that your coat was still in the car when you returned, Lesley.

lesley153 Thank you, Trojan it was: both times. :)

Am begining to Wonder if the Egg head question setters are using Fun trivia for their Question as 3rd time in a week now a question i played on FT has appearted later on the Egghead tv show, The Question was to do with Lincoln and states, the 3 choices were 3 choices of the four i had to choose from.

I got it right and the contestants guessed correctly from the options.

lesley153 That's a thought. There's nothing that says they have to make up their own questions, and no reason why they shouldn't buy quizzes from FT just like any other quiz organiser.

I don't remember if any made it to Eggheads but we've had a bunch of members on UK quiz shows in the last few years, and the winners sometimes help write questions in the future, as Kevin Ashman also does. I know some of them are also members of the same quiz teams as some of ours here so may be working as a writing team as well although no one's ever mentioned it to me.

You might be right David, although the questions were verbatim to the one on here.

Has been a nice warmish day here until 20 minutes ago when the temprature just dropped sharply.

Been and done my shopping and have cut out the heavy stuff i normaly get, come to an arragement with a local store who i now get direct from them and they will deliver it for me foc,

The idiots who run the council department have decided to paint the outside of the tower block, here we are November bad weather is around the corner and they are painting, nothng done yet just fitting the climbers to use to get up and down, Might be ne but my intelliegnece tells me you do not paint walls balcony's etc when the weather is going to be wet cold and possuble frost as i feel it will not stay as good for as long.

Weather up and down here too Gary. Wish it would just go spring. :$

Painting with colder weather onset? Maybe it was on the 'to do list' - like council mini road crews here, filling water filled potholes with hot road mix....

lesley153 Good move, Gary. My cousin in Preston does that, choosing and paying in the shop, one of a chain renowned for its frozen food, then going home to wait for it to be delivered. Imagine that's a few points off your stress levels.

Sw my mum today and cannot believe how she is struggling, is terrible to see.

Got my shopping got home sat down with a glass of juice and got a sms msg asking if i was going to asda could i get my little pal a pudsy biscut mix with pudsy cutter so shoes back on and went back on the bus, only a light bag to carry, packed the stuff up and went and posted my wallet is now £10 lighter. But at least my little pal will be happy which is all that counts.

The petition to scrap the bill seems to be gathering pace, which is good, but we must keep fighting i have emailed my alloted peer in the lords for fifth time this week, we must show them the depth of feeling in the country , they can throw this bill out. Any one wanting to contact their peer can do so through the 38degrees.com website.

The finale is a amazing track, where the original Phantom performed with some of the others who have played the role, Was very good hightened by a brief warble by the former misses webber and hot gossip singer sarah brightman.

A must for all musical fans, just one more DVD to complete y collection comes out next year Australian cast recording of Love never dies. The Phantom sequel.

I am very impressed, Professer! I say every year that I'm going to be organised and get everything sorted out rather than the usual last minute rush, somehow it never seems to happen.
