The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Had a shock yesterday whilst washing my hair felt a lump omn my head, now i have fibromas all over and i know of one on my head, this however felt different and on the surface.

My intial thoughts that it might be a serbaceous cyst may be correct as today it seems to be less prominent then yesteday, i will as soon as we ger buses back on the estate go see my GP to get it checked. But to say i am not worried about it is the truth.

lesley153 The singers do seem to be having fun, don't they?

Not worried is a good thing. I imagine something that pops up so quickly, from one shampoo to the next, is going to go away at least as quickly.

Lesley from research i have done and clips i have seen of the original rat pack, the show thats touring is just the same. Seems that Sinatra Sammy Da nd Dean played off each other. Including the Sammy D sinatra duet of me and my shadow.

Review of the ratpack in Lincoln

JOHN TOOGOOD JOURNALiST -
From the opening bars of Ethel Merman 'belting' out “There's No Business Like Showbiz” to the closing bars of “The Show is 0ver” this spectacular was quality enjoyment of the highest order.

I knew what to expect, having seen the show before, but the sheer 'fun' of the evening was evident to the almost 'Full' Drill Hall Audience, and Director Simon Hollingworth is to be c...ongratulated for booking such a quality show.

All of the popular numbers, made famous by 'The Pack' were included in the well presented, slick show, with the high-spots for many patrons, being Sammy's tribute to Bill Robinson, with showgirl Ami performing a 'soft shoe shuffle' routine as Mr. Bojangles. Tribute to Lincoln, with a change of words, to the usual 'My Kinda Town...Chicago...' with appropriate slides of all the well known landmarks, projected onto the Cyc...a very clever way to personalise the show to the 'host' City, and the torch song 'One more for the Road' with Sammy on Piano.

We were also treated to a 'guest appearance' by Marilyn Monroe (Joanna Leigh)

All in all, this was an excellent example of what is currently 'touring on the road' and other Producers would be well advised to take note.
A truly excellent, tribute to Four of the greatest legends in the business, who's talent we shall not see again.....and a GREAT Night Out!

Lesley no news as yet so took bull by the horn, was in great pain and strugled to put a shoe on, so decided to go to A & E, sarcastic remark from the assesment nurse but i stood my ground and informed her if it was not for the likes of me and many likeminded people fighting for the NHS she could be without a job, unless shes a yes man jobsworth.

She asked me to wait on the waiting area and i was seen by a young junior doctor, who was through and decided to send me for more xrays and to take bloods, had front back top and bottom xrays of swollen foot and she was amazed how swollen it was.

When she called me back through a senior doctor was with her and said not a lot they could do as they only allowed to prescribe certain medicines, but as he could see i was in distress he said to get a ppt to see gp and get her to send me to a arthritis doctor.

She was apolgetic that she could not do more, as i was about to leave the assessment nurse stopped me and apologised and sked who i was supporting to fight for the NHS so told her 38 degrees check them on face book , that she is going to do along with the xray techincian and the junior Doctor.

lesley153 "...only allowed to prescribe certain medicines"? Did they give you any clues about what they would prescribe if their hands weren't tied?

I'm pleased you got an apology from the receptionist. It's a shame you had to be bolshy to get it but she obviuosly had time to think about what you'd said.

There's no justification for sarcasm though, whatever the provocation. Sometimes a hostile response to a straightforward question or statement tells you that you're talking to someone who's taken a lot of stick today and is now taking it out on you. There's no excuse for that either.

I find it quite disheartening that she wasn't aware of any support groups. Is it unreasonable of me to expect NHS employees to be aware of campaigns to save the NHS?

Back to the drawing board. Hope something helps!

Gary, if you can get documented evidence or a sworn statement the NHS have brought in rationing (NICE have a list of allowed drugs and they are obliged to prescribe them if required by law) the media will have a field day. I'd send a local reporter over there anyway for a start as I don't think anyone's aware of that little scam as yet.

Thanks Lesley and David, am going to let sleeping dogs lie for now, seems from what i can find out there is a list they operate from, the pain releif i am on is strongest , next step up is morphone and no way going down that road at this time.

One thing since i got home the pain is less severe, could be the fact i am less stressed by the pain having seen someone, after the 2 day holiday due to the queens jubille i iwll try see my gp and get a appoint, ment with a rheumatoolgist. i have seen one bfore so will ask for him as he was very good.
