well as i put socks rolled up imside shoesi roll t shirts and boxers, i also neatly fold trousers. I get more in a case when i pack then most Lesley

lesley153 Good start, but... roll everything. Trousers, shirts, everything. Inside out. That way, there's less creasing than if you fold, and creases are less obvious when you turn them right side out.

lesley153 You're welcome. Try them!

Oops passport's always useful too. Forgot about that!

One of the worst examples of packing I ever watched was mother-in-law getting ready to go abroad. She packed a full-size glass shampoo bottle, with less than an inch of shampoo in the bottom, to take on a plane. (That's when I introduced her to the gentle art of decanting, and the unbreakable lightweight miracle that is plastic.)

The worst ever was when she was packing to go to Portugal. We made the mistake of telling her our plans, a third visit to Portugal, and she wheedled and whinged - she'd never been to Portugal, it was ages since she'd been away, she'd love to see Portugal, she'd love to go on holiday - till husband's brain collapsed under the weight of wheedly whingy guilt-tripping, and he booked a room for her to come with us, and that's what made it the worst ever.

I watched her packing a whole load of short-sleeved and sleeveless tops and dresses, and suggested that she pack one or two items with long sleeves, to cover up in the hot sun. She looked at me witheringly (she hated me), and said, "I think I know how to dress for hot weather, DARLIN." She only called me darlin' when she was being a patronising ratbag.

She spent the whole holiday wearing her son's long-sleeved shirts. Husband had packed enough long-sleeved shirts for himself. Not for his mother.

Sorry, what was the question again, please?

Doctors visit proved worthwhile, for one i was told i lost half a stone in weight, and not really trying as such have just cut back on the junk food.

Shes also chasing up arthritis specialist and the gastro guy. Is good when you have a good doctor who cares regards patients and not the diabolical andrew lously and the Government.

Have more blood tests to have so thats 3 in a month, she wants to keep a eye on certain levels to do with arthritis etc.

lesley153 Nah - she just wants your blood.

I too have a brilliant GP and Consultant Neurologist. I see the Neurologist twice a year, but I have any problems, I email him and he sees me in clinic that week. Can't get better than that if you have private medical cover!

I can sympathise with the blood tests, I have them lots too, but c'est la vie.

I had an awful blood test a few months ago when the nurse went into the artery! My arm swelled up and I had a bruise from my elbow to my wrist. I now see the phlebotomist when I have my bloods done :)

Goos luck with the tests!

According to the letter it was changed as all clinics have been changed. Still will be another day out and be told they will monitor blod tests.

lesley153 Yesterday at the party my nieces noticed that I'd lost weight, but there was an awful lot of very nice food and I think I've put it all back on again.

Did i say i had a great Doctor? Forget that i have a amazing Doctor i collected the medication she has prescribed and was a note attached asking me to make a appointment for blood tests in 4 weeks then 8 weeks. i have the four week one will need to make the 8 weeks one when i attend.

Not only that she printed out a document for me on the condition to read.

Her note also said she would see me in between the blood tests. Not many doctors do what she is as far as i know.
