lesley153 Sorry, that's dreadful. When in doubt, target the people who are least able to fight back.

Was she working before the accident? And did the panic attacks start afterwards?

She had a good job before the accident was a grapic designer, do no know if you saw the pic i posted of my birthday present from her. A sample of her work 3 of 6 coasters of the musicls be both like?

I have commissoned her to do a present for me for my friend in canada, is the pic on the cast album of jesus christ superstar the is two angels, is looking good have paid her £30 for doing it which she was happy about.

The panic attacks she has had all the time i known her is just so scary as you cannot do a lot to help she just has to get her breathing controlled.

What a result have been for last 48 hrs trying to sort a hub from virgin media abd the prices are ridiculous spoke to a rep so he said to speak to thinking of leaving you team, I have just come off the phone and am now getting a hub free of charge paying the same price as now and will get help setting things up.

Thats a big difference from £75 for the hub and £10 a week more payments. Shows you how desperate the companies are to keep customers, so will be on 30 meg connection in a week and all i have to do is stay for a year.

lesley153 I hadn't but I have now - they're brilliant. Trying to work out what they're made of. They look like pottery, which I imagine she'd have had to shape, paint, glaze, fire. Multi-disciplined, multi-talented.

Always a good move, pretending you're going to leave. You might not get as good a deal as a new customer, but you'll certainly get a better deal than a quiet old customer.

Virgin promised me "up to 10 meg" and delivered 1 meg. I hope your 30 meg is 30 meg, and not "up to" 30.

Lesley they are wooden and what she does is copy the image from picture or whatever source. Then she transfers it to the wood and then she has a tool with different heads like a soldering iron and then burns onto the wood gowing over the image.

She then paints where it is needed and has it varnished,
yes she is multi talanted she even did a job for Rolf Harris a carrier bag which he used for merchandise at shows, was of him as kangeroo Rolf.

lesley153 Clever - and, I imagine, time-consuming. Of course you can't tell from online pictures but I still think they look like pottery!

Have a appointment with the arthur ritis specialist next monday, had the appointment for 4 weeks now, yesterdaywas having a 5 minute eyes closed moment when a text message disturbed me.

This is to remind you that you have a appointment at the hospital on monday bah blah blah, as i waited 4 months to get a appointment no way i will forget it, just another way this government is wasting money and resources.

Good point Professer; how much of the billions of pounds spent on the Olympics will benefit the 'Eastenders' of London?

Apparently 1 in 10 hospital appointments are missed, so I'd have thought reminders were quite cost effective.

Good luck with it anyway, I hope they can help you Prof.

Thanks Sal me to, but my arthritis is compounded by also having, Fibromyalgia, which is untreatable.

In principle i would agree a reminder is good but a week before hand is a bit to early

lesley153 I get a reminder the day before a dental appointment, one before a hairdresser appointment, and two texts before my online shopping comes. Enough!

Do you think perhaps they give extra notice to people who aren't too mobile, to give them a chance to request patient transport?

What a absolute farce, thanks to this Government getting transport to hospital is difficult.

Waited till 8.30 before i rang doctors and got through to the person who is responsible to book transport only to be told because my age i would not get it, so said well if you can tell Dr M i won't be able to get to the appt for rhuematology, due to distance i would have to walk, girl said don't cancel see what Dr says i will email her as shes off today. So i took bull by the horns and rang the hospital spoke to the Arthur itis department who gave me direct number for transport, which i rang after playing the 20000 dollar question i finally managed to get transport arranged. So now waiting for Dr's to ring back see whats they say but at least i can get to see arthur doctor. If i had to cancel would have taken 6 months to get another appointment so pleased i am sorted.

cutesybeautygi u don't have to go u can be an ordinary member, u mustn't be a gold member and i think the owners of this website should make gold membership free wat do u think professor

lesley153 Well done getting it! Good thing you had enough notice.

Jonathan says it's been very quiet recently because of a lot of people not turning up, and others cancelling too late for the appointment to be given to someone else. Recently he has been making phone calls to remind people about forthcoming appointments. Half the time they say they didn't know they had an appointment, and they can't come.

He's also been learning about functional electrical stimulation. Has that been suggested for you? eliminated?

Yes good i could sort it and now or after monday that i used it i can book transport all the time i need it,

As for the treatment youmentioned it has not been suggested as yet Lesley see what happens monday all i can say something needs doing as getting a hour or 90 mins most sleep at night is not good pain in my hands and ankles not good but hey least i am alive :)

Hope your realtive is going on ok

lesley153 Thanks, she's doing OK, but there's a lot of damage to correct. She won't be able to eat for two or three weeks while they see if the repair has worked. She'll need to stay in, getting fed intravenously. She'll be banging her head on the wall.

No harm asking about FES on Monday - or googling it.
