The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Annoying as seemingly unending tests can be they will find what ails you Professer and point you back in the right direction.
You can only improve - there is No alternative. :)

Hugs. :)

Absolutely Professor. Go and enjoy yourself and try not to worry about what is waiting when you come home. When you do get home make sure you take all the tests they will give you. I, and I believe everyone here are hoping for the best results possible for you. I hope you will keep a positive attitude because it does help with your recovery.

lesley153 I've just had a quick catch-up read. I lost track of your plans but you're clearly not at home, and I hope where you are - somewhere Scottish? - is good. I have to agree with the people who are saying don't listen to chatter in dark corners, and I am delighted to hear that your friend is regaining some mobility.

He's back in da house after his trip to the highlands of Scotland, Friend is getting better and is slightly mobile albeit on crutches, the little one was both lovely and a pain soon going to be 4 and i am not going to her party she said lol.

I got home nice and relaxed and now totally stressed 5 letters from hospital 2 giving me a appointment and 3 cancelling the 2 appointments. A phone call it transcends my Surgery cancelled appointments a 20 minuite call to surgery i have a appouintment again 2 weeks today thats 8 weeks after i should have had appointment and is being classified a emergency by my doctor not the appointment people however, my hospital stay and week away is being blamed. Need to chiil a bit again have a pizza cooking sp will eat that and relax. i send kind wishes to Lesley, Julie and DEunan all who i missed a lot whilst away.

Thursday i have to have a scan on my heart see why it is enlarged if it is at all thats not helping my stress levels. Tea is nearly ready so bye folks for now

Glad you are home. You can't do anything about the missed appointments and heart scan, so just relax meanwhile. I know it is easy for me to say since it doesn't involve me, but do try to relax.

lesley153 Welcome home, Gary. Enjoy your pizza and then tell us all about your trip.

Mobile is good. Sorry to be trite, but any sort of mobile is better than immobile.

You aren't going to the little one's birthday party? Are you not devastated? :p

In a word No i am not devestated Lesley, i admit i miss seeing her and has just been a day. But 30 little ones screaming shouting and running about am too old for that kind of entertainment now.

lesley153 No, I didn't think you were. :D

lesley153 Forgot to say how pleased I am that you're having the schocardiogram. They're endlessly useful tests and whoever said there was prodding and poking? There is neither prodding nor poking, and they're less painful and intrusive than looking at your watch to see what the time is. If you get bored, listen for the different tunes the machine plays as it changes its angle of observation. There's one that sounds like a washing machine.

The other one they may do, which sounds nearly the same but isn't, is the electrocardiogram. For this they stick a dozen little sticky pads on you, connect twelve leads, and make a twelve-part trace of different heart rhythms. This is so quick that they're peeling the sticky pads off almost before you realise they're doing anything.

I'd recommend taking any test you're offered, and being guided by the people who offer it to you. All tests are useful: all information is worth having.
