The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Letter today from DSS saying they were keeping me on weekly for 3 months then would be in touch again, beauracracy gone mad.

If i cannot cope now going fortnightly then 3 months time is not going to change things. Time all these government bodies were told to listen to the customer and act accordingly

lesley153 Good for the time being. Perhaps they're under orders not to make permanent concessions, but they'll just say OK again in three months.

I suppose it means a fortnight in arrears? A fortnight in advance would be acceptable. :)

Another day of strongb winds here, was a struggle to walk to the shops today nearly went over. Least we have no snow unlike scotland

lesley153 Aren't the winds supposed to be dying down a bit? Hope so.

Seems like half the world's got snow. We know there's been snow in Texas but I've heard that there's also been snow in Israel.

thanks jazmee.

Feel i am achieving something have been campaigning to stop the sell off of the forests with 38degrees.com and looks like we are making head way.

Just hope the next campaign is as successful getting the Labour party to push a vote of no confidence in the goernment.

lesley153 I'd rather see a no confidence in the EU. Have you seen the latest dumbing down?

lesley153 I didn't know you'd had any! When, and how long is it before you're expected to see results?

Did you read my link about imported nurses?

Lesley i am lucky all the nurses at my GP's are all british born ok that article could apply to one of them although i do have to say shes not been about when i have been in wetehr shes left i do not know, but she was really bad.

lesley153 Good. Sometimes you don't need to talk. If you're ill, you're in dead trouble if you can't. Long may the "luck" continue.

Another trip to Doctors today see why i am gbetting so little sleep, why the pains appears worse when i try to sleep.

All that was offered was extra strong pain killers that would make me dopey or anti depressants that do the same, question is do i grin and bear it or make myself dopey on pills, or do i say enough is enough and lie down and die, just how i am feeling atm.

Lack of sleep can cause the brain to start thoughts we would not normally think about.

Giving up? Why? That lets the pain and sleeplessness win.

I'm in the same situation. Four nights now without sleep.

Allow yourself to be dopey (from the meds) for today. See if it makes a difference.

After all, the other choice does not have take-backs and FT would not be the same without you.

IMHO

Professor, my husband seems to be having the same thing happening to his legs and feet below the knees. He just hates to see night come because they hurt so bad. He keeps going during the day because he says it takes his mind off the pain.He is getting very little sleep. I cannot get him to go to the doctor about it.
