"how it supposed to make me feel"
More energetic, I would hope.

Well i di not feel anymore energetic Lesley is in fact opposite. Still least the blood probs seem to be on mend.
I am sick of the governemnet cuts and way they are still fiddling the expenses and claiming they dont get enough.
If they lived on what i do a week they could moan, is a utter discrace the Lib mp is only banned for a week fom parliament, but at least the police now investigating should bang him up. |

What a difference a day makes, yesterday was cold and miserable with mizzling rain, today bright sunshine and nice and warm. Have another letter asking me to explain why i cannot manage on fortnightly payment of benefits, so have writen a letter explaining then i rang and spoke to someone who appeared to be genuine and honest. He said send in the letter and speak to my GP and get them to write also saying how it would effect me.
I said i know it was not theior ideas but central government, but did he not realise what the motiff was behind it that by making people take benefits fortnightly they needed less staff so they were in fcat doing the governemnts job for them by putting themselves out of work, he said not thought of that i said, is the first thing i would have thought of you should be getting your union to fight this change as you will find a number of workers will be out of work. He agreed and was going to look into it. Why is it people can't see the wood for the trees, is plain as the nose on my face if they make all benefit claiments take money fortnightly, is less work, less work means less staff needed ergo redunabcies. |

How ridiculous that you need to grovel for life support.
It's the first thing I thought of when Oyster cards were introduced. If you need to use a coin to get a shopping trolley, and take the trolley back to retrieve the coin (or token), the trolley-pusher becomes an endangered species. And I promise not to start on self-service tills.

Lesley self service tills are a bane, i was asked at sainsburys last week i if wanted to use one save queing, i said why should i want to use one of them when its putting someone out of a job the girl was shocked, said i will pass your comments onto the management.
Whilst on sainsburys i have had one of their credit cards for 20 years and when ringing to pay my bill have always said when asked if there was anything else they can help me with i always said a frre phone service to pay bill , and guess what has happened this month all Payment lines and enquirery lines are now free phone, the girl said they have listened to their customers. |

Two buses to sainsburys today to do my shopping as my mum cannot drive still since knee replacement, first week mum did not want anything but then she is going tmw instead of saturday.
Treated her to some strawberrys today as she loves them and thought be nice thing to do, coming back from sainsburys to my mums, the heat made me feel uncomfortable so stopped and rested against a wall, this woman stopped to ask if i was ok, said i was fine just having a breather as was so warm and carrying shopping two bags and using stick is a struggle. Was nice of her to stop and ask shows there are a few decent folk about. |

Yes, I suspect that there are more good people around than not. I've stopped for a breather in Bedford, Luton, but mostly in London, and complete strangers, of both sexes and all ages, have asked if I'm OK. People have seen me struggling up steps, with a bag that didn't strike them as being at all heavy but seemed to me then to weight a ton, and carried it up for me. (I have been grateful for the help, and am now grateful that I don't need it.)
Are you ever tempted, at least while your mother is recuperating, to shop online? Or perhaps to treat yourself to a shopping trolley? They don't have to be tartan, honest!

Not really Lesley, my mum has one and said i could borrow it but am too stubbon,i know my walking is bad but then what can i do?
As for on line shopping i am very anti that yesterday was dodge the shop staff doing internet orders one aisle had six staff doing them, girl said they have 30 doing the orders all day everyday.
When i go shopping i am inclined to change my mind on what to buy when i get there i have in my head a plan for the week, and will chnage it by the time i get to supermarket. |

"...my walking is bad but then what can i do?"
Find ways of making it less difficult?
I know what you mean about changing plans. You can't look at something new and think "Ooh I'll try that" or pick things up and read labels either.
Just a thought - shouldn't they be dodging you?

If i could improve my walking i would lesley sadly it cannot be done thats the view of 2 physios and a podiatrist.
Till i can breathe well sort of asthma is up and down the medication for that helps. I am walking nowadays like a man of 80 some days i do try to make life easier where ever i can. Have to say i do laugh at some of the people i see using mobility scooters, guy yesterday stopped his scooter got off and ran to the cash machine, then got back on his machine and rode home. At least at the moment the Government has not taxed the use of them, is something i can see them doing |

Hmmm. A couple of people told me to get a mobility scooter, and I thought that would be like giving up, but there have been times when I've looked enviously at them and though they would be a good idea - and great fun if they could do more than 4mph!
I wasn't thinking of helping you to walk, but of making life a little easier. Carrying things is hard enough without having to use a stick at the same time, worse when you can't breathe easily. And OK, you can have a tartan one, if you really, really want one.

She also writing to DSS for me saying that moving me from weekly to fortnightly will cause me unneccesary problems to my health and mental well being. See what the idiots say now. |

A lovely warm day, great win for andy murrary and now enjoying my curry. My sister is being moved i Hope temporary to Boston where there is a lot of problems is a longer journey and day for her but she says she has got them to pay her petrol money £600 per month that will be.
There is a lot of problems with the NHS and she feels after all the hot air Cam and his bunch of thieves have spouted there is going to be the biggest U turn of any government. |

I remember you writing about her job being moved, and my thinking it looked like constructive dismissal - if she had left, which she wasn't going to do, on principle.
Good for her for getting petrol costs. That's a huge amount - it would almost pay for half a job.

The move from Lincoln To Grantham she wanted as she had the hospital running from her job as it should be, was the powers to be deciding which to make redundant and her uncertanty of her job security.
This move is because the area shes in is in chaos at Boston the girl they moved from Grantham to Boston has made it worse, she was one that did not want to move.
