The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

All uk residents, contact your MP if you disagree with the proposed changes to the health service, you can get email address and phone numbers via 38degrees.com website.

The more that object the stronger the chance to get these changes chucked out.

She knows my mum is not well, shopping was fine stocked up for a week again.

Was unsure if Tens was working really but today have realised it is as pains bad again have had 1 day relief, is my fault as i did not take it with me to my mums. am on my second 30 second blast on left hand, will do right later.

lesley153 This may not be a wise question to ask, but... what is your mother's whiny niece doing in your mother's place in the morning before school - she doesn't live with her, does she?

No Lesley, she lives with her mum asnd stepdad, but due to the alleged aspergers my mum been going to my sisters to wake her up and take her to school. My sister works 52 miles away and has to leave early. My brother in law is same he is self employed and needs to work to earn a living.

Is a pain at times is true what they say you can choose your friends but not your family,

lesley153 I don't know whose Aspergers, or what it has to do with the journey to school, but is it your niece's, and does it mean she's safer if she's accompanied? I don't know about your brother-in-law's business either, but surely being self-employed means he's perfectly placed to decide his own hours so that he can take his step-daughter to school? Because of work, they're relying on the child's great-aunt to do the school run, and that doesn't sound right.

Lesley he has to travel a lot does bil, he's been working in london for last few weeks, Aspergers is my niece but saying that i know peoples kids that have aspergers and none behave the way she does.

Remember one year my mum came up to soctland for a holiday, she wanted to hire a car and stayed at a bnb,
Claire organised it all from her end. for a few days we did are own thing last few days we went out with my mum and niece. on way back to mums bnb and claires mum wanted a cash point and a shop so stopped at a place in aviemore i went with mum to shop and cash point as i needed some extra cash i thought, when we got back to car niece was sat there quiet as a mouse. Was not till we got nearly at claires was it explained what had gone on., Claire read the riot act at the way niece treated my mum, i said don't worry claire she needs that

lesley153 Sorry, if he's living in London for his job, that's completely different. It would also be very different if your mother was fit and strong, and not recovering from surgery.

Sorry again for not understanding the anecdote. I must have missed something - what had your niece done? Meanwhile, good for Claire for reading the riot act, whether I understood or not!

lesley153 I understand incidents that are too difficult or annoying to explain. I hope there's a solution - and that the TENS machine is worth keeping.
