It is a hideous, heinous "rodeo competition" that's about as sporting as tying up bunnies. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. You do know what goat-roping is, right? And that only "girls" do it?

If I tried to rope one of my father's prized milking cows he'd have my guts for garters.
I dont do goat roping either, but I dont see the difference between it and roping that tiny little calf you're chasing as it is about the size of a goat. In fact a goat would probably give you more of a run for your money.
Now if you were chasing a full grown bull.....

Now back to serious business. what to abolish or retain on funtrivia quizzes.
No more than two questions on American football, baseball, basketball, hockey etc. per quiz.
Half the funtrivia players are female. its unfair.
The questions get into my head and the answers turn my brain to mush. The only thing that I have learnt is that most of the players and managers appear to be Polish.

I can see your point about being a female and not liking American/Canadian sports, Sian. "Wonder why she didn't include UK sports?" Oh well, I see it as learning opportunity, Sian. Now that I've missed questions on Cricket(chrrp chhrrrp) I'm glued to the TV when a Cricket games on. I don't want to miss a single googly, gully, or hoodoo. I've learned a lot about Cricket and I'm doing some what better on my quiz questions. After all, that's what it's all about getting them quiz questions correct ;-)
ps Surely your dad wouldn't use your guts for garters....would he?

Questions on sports bug me-can't understand a thing; math, neither (although I seem to be better in that area than sports!) History and English are OK (science, too, although no chemistry, physics or astronomy [when I'm reading about physics, I know I'm bored!]

Awww Jazzme, we have physics lessons everyday. We don't have to read about it. Things like...falling down...getting hit with a Cricket ball...sinking in water...burning your hand on the stove...spitting into the wind. If I had my way, Physics would be a prerequisite for getting a drivers license ;-) |

Physics. ok. I know nothing about astronomy as I didnt take it at school. prefer history, geography. love literature and animal questions. I dont know much about celebrities abd I dont play nintendo games.

Now, what is it about sports you don't like, Sian, aside from the fact you get questions about sport wrong? By deriding sport, you are missing out on the vision of the extremely lithe and athletic Ryan Giggs, deftly dodging defenders on his way to score a goaaaaaaaal. |

The main sport here in Wales is Rugby, very much male-orientated. There are some women rugby teams. (rumours abound. mostly spread by the boys as they regard the game as their own domain).

I didn't mean you have to play sports, Sian. I think most women don't care for sports because men act badly, at times, while playing or observing sports. Women associate this childish, rude behavior with sports and tend to place their selves above such shenanigans.

you are under the misapprehension that women enjoy sport. morpheus. we tolerate it.
I am of course assuming that females are the same the world over.
About a year ago I dated a local rugby boy. All the girls fancied him. I spent most Saturday afternoons on the sidelines of a muddy pitch watching him play. now Rugby being a winter sport, I spent my time standing in rain, snow, frost or biting wind. I was either soaked to the skin or freezing my butt off.
Often I wondered what on earth was I doing there?. Why couldnt I have had the hots for a nice darts player?. then I could have been sitting in a pub next to a lovely log fire with a pint of bitter and a packet of cheese and onion crisps.
Well one day he came over to me after a game, covered as usual with mud, blood and snot and I noticed a bogey sticking out of one of his nostrils. I went off him faster than you could say double-pneumonia.

What I am saying is, you see all these female spectators at a game. Well they are either the girlfriends of the players or girlfriends of spectators. All feeling miserable inside. praying that their boyfriends wont take too long before putting the old ball and chain around their ankles.
