Thanks, Jabberwok.
Sounds interesting.

I have no idea, it doesn't look like a film I'd choose to watch as I'm not much of a one for comedies.

Sometimes I do; sometimes I don't. Mom, though, or my friend Georgette... they love them!

Is that Val Kilmer?? Oh please, say no...

Hijacking a blog has no expiration date, right? And since I hijacked this one oh-so-many moons ago, it's still the go-to place for snake and exploding sheep stories, yes?

Or singing the random song or two? I feel a Little Feat song coming on, but I can't quite come up with the name of it, so the words aren't coming together either, and since I'm on this wonky loaner etch-a-sketch laptop until mine gets all that milk rinsed out of it so it works again, it may have to wait. Are we truly certain we can't just toss one milky laptop in the dishwasher?

Yes, it's been an eventful first week in January, that's for sure.

Jazzee, I haven't forgotten about you, but... I'm kind of up to my ears in sticky, milky messes. But if that song comes to me, I'm singing it! It's right on the tip of my brain, yearning to break free and burst out.

It is Val Kilmer before he went nutty mcnutnut. And if the Little Feat song is Dixie Chicken, count me in for a few rounds!

No exploding sheep lately Elle but exploding pine trees, creeks And snakes.......well the snake really imploded.

Val's looking pretty nutty in that photo. I like Iceman Val and Doc Holliday Val and The Saint Val. I even liked Willow Val.

Nope, not Dixie Chicken. As much as I love lambs, Tennessee or otherwise, the Little Feat song is this one:

"Oh well, they all ask about you!
Down on the farm!
The Cows ask!
The Pigs ask!
The Horses ask, too!"

All wanna know why to the city
You moved, changed your name to Kitty
What's come over you?

It ain't true; it ain't true, Linda Lou!
Say it ain't true, Linda Lou!
It ain't true; it ain't true, Linda Lou!
Say it ain't true, Linda Lou!

They's all bawling 'bout you
Down on the farm!
The Cows bawl!
The Pigs bawl!
The Horses bawl, too!

Miss you so much that crying's
All we can do...
Weeping and wailing, praying
You'll come home soon...

It's pre-Iceman Val. I believe it was his next film after he did Top Secret!

I watched Cowboys and Aliens last night.....hmmm or was that a weird, FT flashback?
Oh well, it was interesting twist on the genre, in any case.
Daniel Craig was an excellent cowboy...real bad a$$. He beat the crap out of a handful of desperadoes, after receiving a severe stomach wound. He even jumped up and horse collared one off a horse. Hot damn, Danny boy!

Daniel Craig is 007, of course he can do that sort of stuff! Have you no faith in the British Intelligence Services, RJ?

Oh, wait...

That one's still on the back burner as far as I'm concerned, Mel. I think its queued right after Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

MH, imploding snakes? That's just... wrong!

Better imploding than exploding, not nearly as messy. ;)

Certainly true, though either one conjures up unpleasant images

Just the one Mel.

The others are certainly Can Be of the exploding or possibly evaporating type.
All bite and most are 'armless......
