Technology's possessed, so I can't even read half of what I've written due to all the absurd typos!

Blame it on Mad Cowboy Disease, Jazzee! I told you it's contagious!
And did he say a little pain? A little pain?? I swear, nothing touches radiating nerve pain, since it's all electric and that nerves sends pain to perfectly good and healthy muscles, rendering them useless. Try keeping up with it -- it won't work. And hell hath no fury like a sciatic nerve scorned.
The good news? I'm not allergic to Percocet after all.
The bad news? It doesn't even touch this pain, but! But! I can't feel my lips when I do this -- blblblblblblblblbl!
Did you feed those hungry troops, or do I have to do it? I'd better go check.

Just try to think of something else, Elle, and it'll get better (hopefully and eventually)

Hmm, I've had sciatic nerve injuries (due to soccer, old age and not warming up properly no doubt). Yes they are painful and take a long time to heal. But on a scale of 1 to 10 of things that have happened to me? I'd put it at around 5, maybe a 6 because of the duration. Hope you get better soon Elle, make sure you do the physio and exercised (yes, I know they hurt lol).

I have not one, but two hyper-flexible SI joints. One of them decided to riot in the hot, hot summer of 2000 after I picked beans in my garden for three hours. I always practice good body mechanics, and so I didn't think much of it, and I canned alll those beans for two weeks, and then went to the doctor. And then to another doctor. And then another one. Everyone kept saying to me, "You don't look like you're in pain..."
I have no idea what pain looks like, but after someone finally ordered an MRI, I was finally taken seriously and all I heard was "HOW are you even walking????" I wasn't! That's what I kept trying to tell them!
Flexible is always good, but when this monster decides to "move" on its own, it's like a tantrumming two-year-old. When I "self-adjust" by slipping and sliding down and hitting the floor, jamming my foot into the edge of the cabinets so that my ankle bent, giving me that much more room to slide before I truly landed, splashing boiling water all over me and everything else, it was pretty much a wash from there. And I have long legs, so that's a lot of muscle to just lock up and stop working entirely.
Now, the little darling just won't stay in after a "real" adjustment, and at its worst, I'd put it right at about a 14 on the pain scale. I have a ridiculously high tolerance for pain, which is the bad news, since I truly don't know what pain is supposed to "look like." But I'd put this monster right alongside an abscessed tooth, and dental pain will fell a moose.
Those wild stretches are the only things that will make that nerve let up, so I'm spending most of my time on the floor, with my kitties beside me, wondering what fun new game this is.
Laughing and crying, you know it's the same release.

Oh Elle. I wasn't trying to poo-poo your pain. It's different for everyone and not everybody's "conditions" are exactly the same either. "Acute" pain and pain that goes on and on are two completely different animals. As far as "acute" pain, I rate abcessed tooth as a 7, migraines 8 or 9, childbirth without drugs or kidney stones a 10 and drowning/burns/kidney failure 11. I rate long term pain on an entirely different scale (it gets points added on).
You also have to understand that I come from a family who did not know the meaning of sympathy (nor even empathy). Just to name two VERY minor examples (there are certainly others more serious lol):
When I was 5 and broke my right arm in 3 places, my father said "quit crying and be thankful - there are people in the world who don't even HAVE arms".
When I was 9 and had broken my nose for the second time and ripped off most of the skin on my chin, my mother told me to go wait out on the step because she didn't want blood on her newly washed floor LOL
I hope they find a way to fix your wonky SI's. If not maybe they can build you new ones. Maybe you should come live here for awhile. You might have to wait a VERY long time to get your bionic devices, but they won't cost you much except monthly premiums in the end, and so far, nobody gets denied because of "pre-existing conditions" : )
Anyway, you are very descriptive person and hopefully talking about it is just as (or hopefully more ) cathartic as the crying and the laughing. Wish you all the best!

Hey RJ! Might you be willing to tell the rest of us who don't have a clue?
I have more to say about "pigs flying," but I'll save that for later.
*Note To Self -- Explain why pigs absolutely do not fly to RJ*
Also? Are you in London, even as we speak? And if so, do you recommend it as a place to visit for pleasure and/or work? I really need to know, so I'll be asking many people this question, but as a Texan potentially wayyyy out of your comfort zone, how do you like London so far?

Somethings came up at the last moment and I had to cancel my London Olympics trip, Elle. I'll let you know how I like the UK when I go next summer. It looks to be a beautiful place and has tonnes of history ;-)
