Thank you, Morph! I've practiced and practiced to get that height on my windup! And no, really, I AM the one with the wicked curveball.
You should see my spinning back kick. I think it would strike fear in your heart, I truly do, even with those RED Ostrich skin boots. Oh, how I long to see those! I have red Justin lace-up ropers, but that's another story for another day.
Hijacking and shanghaiing (double I?) blogs is fun! Too bad we don't get points or Badges for it. I'd even settle for a mini-tiny-baby-Badgelet.
How was your trip to Mexico? Did you leave it in one piece, or at least as you found it?

What? There is no blogger badge? How can that be? There are badges for everything it seems. Why no bloggers badge? Blackdresss has a point here fellow bloggers. I could argue that this is a slight that needs to be corrected? Am I wrong about thinking of this as an inequity?

Oh Mel, do tell! How did red Ostrich skin boots turn into a pink Speedo? Speedos actually scare me, even when it's Michael Phelps wearing one for obvious reasons.
And have you ever seen Ostrich skin? It's truly gorgeous. All the places where the quills/feathers were plucked are there, making it very unique. Snakeskin boots are also incredible. Do you have a pair of those as well, Morph?

OK, fellow bloggers. What's the process for starting a grassroots campaign to create a bloggers badge?
The owners were kind enough to provide us with this collaborative space to meet and share our thoughts with other members. Maybe they would entertain the idea of a badge to bring legitimacy to this small portion of the greatest trivia site on the web. After all, blogging is one of the forces that is shaping the internet ;-) |

I have about fifteen pairs of boots but I don't want to get into what they are made of. However, none of them are made from plant materials.

I have, let me count... 5 pair of Ropers and... counting... 1 pair of hiking boots, and... counting... 4 pair of winter/wet weather/bird hunting boots and ... counting... 13 pair of gorgeous boots to wear out on the town, with pants or skirts! I think that's 23, and I may have missed a pair or two. And yes, I keep all of them in the boxes they came in. Boots are to be treasured!
This need for boots for all occasions may be a Western thing.

I have one pair riding boots. one pair going-out boots. one pair heels. one pair sandals. one pair wellington boots. one pair doc martens for digging the garden, one pair trainers and one pair of slippers.
I spend my money on chocolates, red wine and going out.
I've only one pair of feet.

I actually have more than fifteen pairs of boots. Those are just the ones that I wear frequently. I keep some for sentimental reasons, like my first pair etc.
No Sian, I don't think my small indulgence is on as grand a scale as the Steel Butterfly's. If I recall correctly, she had like 2 or 3 thousand pairs of shoes in her closet, when she was forced to flee the country.
I haven't bought a pair of boots in ages, as my relatives and friends keep me well supplied.
