Sorry, Mommakat, not Maria Schell.
I was born earlier than Maria Schell and died just a few years before her.

Are you still active as a serviceman?
Are you a member of the United States Marine Corps?

Deceased within the last 10 yrs. Not the Marines. Jimmy Doolittle is the correct time frame though.

Sounds like you could be Paul Tibbets, pilot of the Enola Gay?

You got it, Jakeroo. I could've dragged it out with a lot of boring facts, but I decided to go for a bit of riddle.
If we were keeping stats I'd say you're far in the lead with correct guesses.
You're up Jake.

I think if you follow through from page 1 in this thread until now (not recommending it, will take all day lol), you'll find that I'm not in the lead at all (not that it matters). Personally, I liked your riddle and thought it would be a good/interesting/fun way to word a single q for the QQ game, assuming there aren't too many of them already (probably lots on Enola Gay or Little Boy, but perhaps not Tibbets himself...).
ANYhoo... I'm an American male, still living. One of my two main claims to fame is having lots of money lol

Course it doesn't who's leading, this is a fun thread. I'm glad I found it but I need to stay out of the books thread it's not my forte unless it's Stephen King. Sorry for the digression, I'll try Warren Buffett?

None of those, sorry. Most people hadn't heard of me until I did a certain thing no one else had done yet at the time...
