I really, honestly, do not know the answers to that.

Not incognito, per se, there is just really nothing known about him.
You will all likely recognize the name, though Wikipedia doesn't even have a page dedicated to him (though his name is mentioned in Wikipedia).

Yes, it's something good to be known for. Though, unless you are part of what he's known for, you probably don't know him.
Cats? Perhaps a tiny bit. Not lolcats, if that's what you're thinking. But there is a tiny itty bitty molecule of cat, as well as dog.
