Mommakat: The chat boards normally won't let you post the exact same thing twice. So if you had ever typed "Simon Baker" in exactly as you tried to this time, you get a message that it was posted, however what really happens is that the "gatekeeper" ignores it because it thinks it is possible spam (because of the repeat). I don't know how far back it tracks duplicate answers. You can get around this by typing longer messages (as you have done, because we can all see your messages other than the original guess)
For instance, we all have to find different ways of saying "No" or "not that one" or "actor?" again more words does the trick.
The really hilarious thing about all this is that sometimes the gatekeeper disobeys its own rules and REposts a message all on its own and not always in a row and not always even on the same day! LOL! If you see duplicate messages it is almost never the fault of either the typist or their own computer.
Anyway, where were we? I forget. Did this crime show end in the 2000's or earlier?

Thanks for the message Jan, but it was frustrating being told that the message had been posted but I couldn't see it on the screen, I am not as computer literate as the rest of you and sometimes hiccups can be a real problem for me. I know how to turn this thing on and off and do a few things but for the rest - forget it! LOL

Perhaps Justin Chambers from "Cold Case"?
(only guessing this one because I LOVED that show - the 'ghost' vignettes at the end of the episodes sometimes made me go look for my tissue/kleenex box)

sorry neither, remember when I said earlier that the first name of one of the previous guesses was the same name as the character I played , I was referring to the guess:Christopher Meloni (from Law and Order SVU)
