Not an actor or entertainer, although I was involved in the arts.

Sculptor.
In my day, I was fairly cutting edge and controversial.
Although not a painter, one of my daughters married a very famous painter.

'fraid not.
I was a bit of a ladies man, and had a series of mistresses which were painfully tolerated by my wife of 40+ years.

Spot on Mike. I am indeed Jacob Epstein.
My first marriage lasted over 40 years, during which time I had 5 children, all with other women. My wife was fairly tolerant, although she did shoot one of my mistresses, who I subsequently married late in life.
Amongst others, Albert Einstein sat for him on a number of occasions in the 30s.
So Mike, who the heck are you?

Our next person is a European who was born in the 19th century and died in the first half of the 20th century.

Male. And from continental Europe, not Great Britain/Ireland.

Not Hitler - he's a bit more obscure than that!
Not a scientist, although he was an academic.
His name will almost certainly be mentioned in the media this year.
