Can't take an interest in the pre-season games, looking forward to the real thing in September.

I think the Raiders are going to make a run for the AFC West

Most definitely. With all the injuries of the Broncos and the fact that the Chiefs are simply atrocious, I think the Raiders have a shot and should at least finish second in the division.
The preseason does get very boring very fast. But at least it's a sign that the real thing is just around the corner!

I reckon the 49ers could be good this year, but I'm cheering for my Ravens to win the Super Bowl, unlikely as it is

September is a busy month for me with the start of the NFL season and the Finals in the Aussie Rules. LOL
Hoping the Colts do really well this year :D
I have several Fantasy Teams ready to go already!

Oh yeah same here man. I'm addicted to fantasy drafting and currently have close to 20 leagues, but I'll only pay attention to the money leagues or leagues with friends in them haha. They just make it so easy on ESPN with their "Live Draft Lobby" where you can draft basically at any time. It's great practice!

Raidersruleall, whats with sending Justin Fargas to Denver? Is he damaged goods or what?As for your QB situation it has to get better this season.Out here it's being assumed that Tim Teebow won't get much playing time this season and Orton will be the starter, but the way the players are getting hurt in camp, who knows. However don't count the Broncos out just yet.I'm sure both of us are tired of the Chargers ruling the AFC West.

Actually I'd rather have the Chargers win than the Broncos...can't stand the Broncos at all. Raiders released Fargas a while back cause they have all kinds of young talent at RB. But now that he's a Bronco I'm sure he'll be injured in practice sometime this upcoming week haha

I'm another Fantasy Football addict and participate in several leagues. I got started after spending way too much time on the Chicks in the Huddle site.
Don't let that name fool you; we are very serious about football.

Feeling is mutual with the Raiders.I'm a true Raider Hater.A lot of Raider fans here in Denver but mostly seem to be gangbangers. They like the black jerseys. But haven't seen as many the past few seasons.Fair weather fans I guess. As for fantasy football,I look foward to that as much as the regular season.Good luck with your fantasy team if you play.

Raiders 1st string offense still needs some time together before they plan in rhythm. Didn't turn the ball, I guess there's that. Defense played great overall. Cowboys are a good team so that was a good sign. Final score is meaningless obviously but not unhappy with the way the Raiders played.
As far as gangbangers, maybe they're trying to emulate the Denver Nuggets. ;-) Lotta gangbangers in LA wear Colorado Rockies gear, goes both ways.

the Raiders releasing Fargas made me mad when it happened. Then i got confused, when they signed MICHAEL FREAKING BENNETT! Who is quite a bit older, and much more injury prone. i think they just released Fargas so they could clear up cap space for LeBron...i mean, free agents they never signed

Schoonie that is true. The Thuggets do have some image problems and I have heard that crips like wearing Colo Rockies gear. But getting back on track here,I hope Fargas can help the running game but with this coach unlike Shanahan his concern seems to be with the passing game.Even though Orton hardly ever throws the long ball.Very frustrating.Losing Brandon Marshall doesn't help either, but I'll take him on my fantasy him if he's available.Question for you,is your Rivalry with the Chiefs as intense as it is with the Broncos?

Both fail in comparison to the Raiders hatred for the Chargers. You can add up the hatred for the Chiefs and the Broncos and that hatred will still come up short for the hatred for San Diego.

I thought all you California sport fans got along. The Denver-SanDiego rivalry is getting as bad as the rivalry with the Raiders.Ahhh the good ole AFC West, gotta love it.

Nah. Raiders/Chargers and Dodgers/Giants are two of the country's most heated rivalries. Lakers don't have any California rivalries anymore because the rest of the teams are awful. Although the Lakers/Kings rivalries was intense for a while in the early 2000s. Let's not forget USC/UCLA which can get pretty intense too. California may be a laid back state, but don't mess with their teams. lol

I am excited to see how the San Diego's new recruit from Fresno State, Ryan Matthews, does against Chicago tomorrow, if he gets to play. They are calling him the heir to LaDainian Tomlinson's spot. I hope, if he gets to play, that he does well.

I don't like the Chargers, but I can stand them a lot more than I can stand the Broncos. I would much rather see the Chargers win the division over Denver
