The Texans defense, or lack thereof, happened.

Matt Cassel has played two good games in a row. Repent, the end is at hand.

Well, at least the Giants got a W but it was in pretty poor fashion. It took the team about 3 quarters to wake up and realize they were playing a football game. They need to adjust and get their act together before next week. I understand the injuries but they've had weeks to make changes and they haven't seemed to do anything. I hope that one of the O-lineman can come back against the Redskins (preferably O'Hara but Diehl would work too). Plus, I can't wait for Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks to come back.

I had the exact opposite reaction to that game. I was happy that my team was beating the Giants for 3 quarters, and when watched helplessly as they collapsed against the team (at least the fans of which) that I hate the most in the NFL. The worst part is that I figured the Jaguars were going to lose to the Giants anyway, and I wasn't planning on even watching the game, but they raised my hopes up by leading after 3 quarters only to destroy them later. Not to mention that I have to deal with a bunch of slimy New Yorkers talking crap for another week. I'd rather have them be down 30-0 in the first quarter so I would have shut the game off entirely and moved on to another sport.

Speaking as a "Slimy New York Giant fan" glad to see my teams defense assert itself when it mattered most and expose Garrard for the below average quaterback he is and the Jags for a below average franchise they are .

Oh i will also take comfort in the 3 Super Bowl wins the Gmen have. Try trash talking when your team actually wins something. Now go get your shinebox

It's funny that you consider saying the Jaguars suck as if it's supposed to hurt me. As a Jaguars fan, I know that they suck more than anyone else. That's like trying to make fun of Anton by telling him the Browns suck, when he's probably been saying that for years. Besides, there are millions of Giants fans that can talk trash better than you can, considering that the Giants only have 1 SuperBowl since the Jaguars became a franchise, and even that one was one of the luckiest plays ever that saved you from a clearly more talented Patriots team.
I can see a fan of other NY teams (like the Yankees) being on a pedestal, but not a lowly Giants fan. Better. Luck. Next. Time.

And besides, as you clearly already DON'T know, I wasn't talking trash about the Giants in my previous (now 2 posts ago) post. I was angry that my team folded and lost to the team I hate the most, and now I have to deal with annoying Giants fans (add another one since you responded), so I made a snarky comment about Giants FANS, not the Giants team themselves. Fail.

Why don't you save your snarky comments for when your team does something?

Anton, I knew you were a Cleveland fan, so I thought it went to all Cleveland sports. My point was that I think it's hilarious that Spider thinks he can hurt a fan of a bad team by saying that their team is bad, when the fan of that team knows better than anyone else that their team does stink. Why don't we ask DaveR what his opinion of the Chiefs is?
Besides, someone has to knock the high and mighty Giants fans down a few pegs. While you're quick to trash the Jaguars, you do realize how close you were to losing to them at home, right? The Giants aren't even the best NY football team.
I can take trash from a fan of a good team, like the Patriots, Jets, or Colts, but not the lowly Giants. The only team fans lower on the totem pole than the Giants is the Cowboys.

Snarky?
Looked more like a blanket statement regarding all New Yorkers, and then Giants fans in particular.
Generalizing an entire state and/or tri-state area of fans, does go a bit furhter then normal sports team trash talk. I personally reserve such pleasantries for when talking to someone I know as an acquaintance, not a website full people I don't know that well.

Fine. Perhaps I shouldn't have said it, however, I was referring to people in my area that would (and are) talking trash about the game to my face. I wasn't referring to anyone on here. I only went at Spider because he fired back at me. My original comment had nothing to do with him or anyone here, it was my frustration with losing an important game in the last few minutes to the team I hate the most, and now I have to deal with their fans talking trash for the next week.
So I apologize for what part of it is my fault in the misunderstanding. But I wasn't talking about anyone here.

Excuse me but i was not quick to trash the Jags and I would'nt have if you did not make your remarks about Slimy Giant fans. And as for the Giants being lowly I think you need to wake up. They are not the best team in the league but they are far from lowly. And even if they do nothing this year I still have seen them win 3 times in my lifetime. Now I am done with you and your team. All I care about now is them beating Washington.

Understood JB, it is near impossible for us reading your comments to know the comments are directed at people you personally know and not all Giants Fans or New Yorkers in general.

Since I was out of line in my first comment, I'm going to ignore that last little "gem" by Spider, however misguided and typical it may be.

Being the benevolent Giant fan that I am I'm going to ignore that last little "gem" by JB and BXwas right If your first comment was a little more clear maybe this little back and forth would not have gone as long. I am now done

I'm a Buc fan. Nobody knows what is like to be a fan of a lowly team quite like I do. I remember being a kid in the late 80s and early 90s and that team was so bad, that I fell in love with them, bad uniforms and all. When they beat the Rsiders, it brought tears to my eyes when I remembered how far they had come. Plus, I'm an Indian fan. That's a nice one-two punch of futility. lol Beat that.
