My point is (and why I mentioned Anton and Dave) is that as fans of bad teams (along with myself) I doubt that you guys would remotely care (let alone be offended) if someone calls your team bad, since you guys know that to be the case better than anyone. That's why I laugh when Spider insults the Jaguars, because not only am I clearly aware that they are a bad team, but it also shows how offended he was when I talked about Giants fans. I mean who goes out of their way to rip on a team that is obviously bad anyway?

The Chiefs are going to put some serious hurt on the Broncos this weekend when they come to Arrowhead. Watching them dismantle Denver will be even more sweet after the drubbing they gave us in Denver.

112 years and counting. Make that 113 after next year, which is a mortal lock. Jim Hendry needs to be fired. After the mid-season fire sale earlier this year, I've had enough of this guy. This team hasn't been the same since Andy MacPhail stepped down.

Whoa! I didn't realize that my Giants post would elicit this little back-and-forth. Unless you're a fan of a team that is consistently good, everyone has their low points. After the miraculous 2007 SB win I promised that I wouldn't complain about the Giants for a decade (I have since broken that promise :P).

Don't worry Holy, you didn't start anything. I was so angry at that game that it would have manifested itself somehow, even if you didn't say anything. ;) I hate losing.

Oh, I definitely agree with you on that one. Being from North Jersey, I root for NY teams (I wish I could root for the NJ Devils because they're usually good but I just can't).
Watching the Giants second-half collapse last year was just peachy and then there's the NY Rangers doing their usual just scraping the .500 mark.

After two good games in a row, I was almost suckered into believing that Matt Cassel was finally learning how to play quarterback. Nope. The real Matt was back today with a vengence. Thank goodness for Jamaal Charles and that old Arrowhead magic. Cassel - what a [disparaging adjective deleted] toad licker that guy is.

Giants found that running game again today and 5 takeaway's were awesome. Now if they do that in 2 weeks against the eagles that would be better. Should have most of their offensive starters back by then.

Typical armchair fan, Daver. Jump on the bandwagon when a player does well, and jump right off again when the same player does bad.

I never "jumped on the bandwagon." I was just amazed that for two weeks he seemed to be a real player. As we say where I live, "even a blind hog will pick up an acorn once in a while." Tough challenge going into San Diego next week. I am not confident about our chances against the Chargers on the road. Unless, of course, Cassel is knocked out early in the first quarter.

I hope that we get Diehl and O'Hara back soon (Steve Smith would be a nice bonus as well). I'm glad to see they adjusted a bit for the injuries in the last game. The takeaways were important because overall we have been very sucky in the turnover differential department.

I hate the NFC this year. The Packers could possible go 12-4 and miss the playoffs, and the Rams will probably make it in at 7 or 8 wins. I think if we beat the Giants and the Bears the Packers will make it in. It does really suck to lose all 4 of your games by a field goal. 2 of them in OT.

The Packers can't go 12-4 and miss the playoffs. If Green Bay wins out, they will be tied with Chicago in division records, assuming the Bears do not to lose to Minnesota. The next step in the tie-breaker would be winning percentage in common games. The games are like this:
Detroit: Both are 2-0
Dallas: Both are 1-0
Giants: Bears lost
Washington: Both are 0-1
Buffalo: Both are 1-0
Minnesota: Green bay is 2-0 and Chicago is 1-0
Miami: Bears are 1-0 and Green Bay is 0-1
Philadelphia: Both are 1-0
New England: neither have played yet
Jets: Green Bay is 1-0 and Chicago hasn't played yet
If the Packers win out and go 12-4, they will NOT miss the playoffs.

if SD loses to KC this week, they'll be out of contention for playoffs. The AFC West might go right down to the wire, with KC hosting OAK that week. GO RAIDERS!

Thanks Anton I didn't do me research. Lets just not lose a game then the Packers are in, but if they lose then who knows.

The key is the Giant game. Lose that and all bets are off.
