Have to be more careful, the Eagles have the Giants' bane for awhile. I was very disappointed that down here in Maryland, Fox didn't think the Giants game was important enough to show, so there were reruns of "House".

H0ly, i think the Giants/Vikings game was regional coverage, so you probably wouldn't have gotten it unless you lived close to Detroit or Minnesota

Never underestimate the unpredictable nature of the NFL! I was positive the Vikings would make it to the Super Bowl- then Brett Favre started acting his age and the defense completely lost it. And I thought the Panthers, with their running game and great linebackers, would be so much better than they are. They can blame some of it on their insane amount of injuries, but I think Coach Fox is gone after this season. And if the Patriots don’t win it all, this will be another lost season for them.

Actually, the NFL has been pretty predictable this year. NFC West? lol NFC South? Only Tampa has been a shock. Atlanta and New Orleans were obviously going to be good, but I had no idea Atlanta would be this good. Carolina? Well, no QB means they weren't going anywhere. NFC North? Packers and Bears? I knew they'd be there at the end, and I also knew the Vikings would not be able to come close to duplicate last season. NFC East? Only Dallas has been a surprise. The AFC? Only Kansas City has been a big shock. I won't say Indy is because every season there are Teams ravaged by injuries. Houston was overrated and someone had to win the AFC South, so Jacksonville is no surprise. The AFC North and East is exactly how it was supposed to be.

Yikes, more injuries for the Giants! They won't be able to beat the Eagles unless they get SOME key guys back.

It seems that both the Giants and the Rangers have injury quotas that they must keep filled this season. They both have had players that were injured for awhile, came back, and in the same game got injured again (plus they took another player out with them). It's deja vu!

I Panthers are bad. Steve Smith is my favorite reciever beside Driver and Jennings. I do hope he can get a QB or get an new team. I think he is one of the best WR in the league. He lead the NFL in yard one year with Delhomme as his QB and that is hard to do.

The Chiefs put some serious hurt on the Rams despite Charlie Weis' atrocious play calling. If you're the Chiefs, you don't pass on third and one. Playoffs are in the bag now.

Hold on there Daver. I know the playoffs are a rare occurrence for folks in KC land, but do not go jumping the gun. Nothing is in the bag for KC yet. They could lose both their remaining games and San Diego could win their last two and KC will be watching the playoffs from home. The Chargers appear to have an easier schedule left too. I am not sure about tie breakers though. I'll have to do some research to figure that out.

Anton, don't forget, the Raiders still have a chance at making playoffs. They'll make it if:
Raiders win next week vs. Colts and at KC in Week 17
Chiefs lose next week and week 17
Chargers lose one of they're last two game
The Raiders will win the division under these circumstances, because they will hold tiebreakers over both SD and KC

Heck of a game in Philly. Now I definitely did not see that one coming.

Yeah, and the sun could go nova, and there will be no playoffs at all. No way the Chiefs will lose two games at Arrowhead, against the likes of Tennessee and Oakland.

Yes, the Raiders can still make the playoffs. That would be something miraculous though.
Daver, check this out:
http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures
"TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.
Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division."
KC and SD are tied with one win head-to-head, so let's move to step 2. Both teams right now are 2-3 in the division with one to play. Chargers play Denver and KC plays Oakland. If the Chargers win out and KC loses only to Oakland, San Diego wins the division and the Chiefs get to watch the playoffs from the comfort of their own homes. KC probably won't lose both games at home, but losing to Oakland is a very real possibility, while San Diego plays the worst two teams in the AFC. Like, I said, don't jump the gun yet.

I am confident that Arrowhead Magic will overcome Charlie Weis' woefully inept game plans and see the Chiefs safely through. And while San Diego plays weaker teams, they play both their final games on the road, and are a pathetic road team, even worse than the Chiefs. As for the Raiders, Chiefs fans begin salivating when we get the opportunity to play them. The perfect way to end a dream season.

I'm still shaking my head from the Giants-Eagles finish. Jackson had just a little crease, and he hit it, blew by like 6-7 defenders and he was GONE! I thought the turning point of that game was when run in for the TD and chucked the ball against the stadium wall. I think that really fired them up, and momentum completely changed. What a game.

I meant to say "when Vick ran in for the TD". Whoops.

Fantastic finish to the Giants-Eagles game, nice to see that spoilt brat Manning looking so sick!

I just read this on wiki:
The Elias Sports Bureau also believes that this is the first walk-off punt return in NFL history.
Wow! I didn't know that. I remember the walkoff KO return TD in OT on Thanksgiving in 1980 when the Bears beat the Lions at the Silverdome. It was one of my first memories as a Bears fan.

I had the most wonderful dream last night: the Chiefs fired Charlie Weis and traded a draft pick for Donovan McNabb.
