You are getting very close. I am impressed.

A very bad night last night. I've been quite achy and stiff for several days, and when I laid down last night my legs felt like they were on fire! It was completely off of the pain scale! ('10' just doesn't cover it.) Better this morning, though - back to my achy-shaky self.
MS really stinks. |

45361. I'm expecting to cross the NaNoWriMo finish line tomorrow for sure, as I'm having a writing marathon with a dear friend. We've had two mini-marathons in the last week. She won one; I won the other - so it is ON! :)
The story will likely not end at 50,000 words, though.

| 50027. I did it. And I think my brain is fried like Lesley and Jaymee's microwaves. |

Wow! *respectful applause* That's wonderful!
How are you feeling today, apart from probably exhausted and presumably happy about your achievement?

| Feeling a lot better than the other night, thanks! Just the usual stiff-achiness - and I can deal with that. |

That's a relief... sort of.

I slept in, which was great, but it made me an hour late taking my Gabapentin. The Gaba is having trouble getting on top of the symptoms now, but hopefully by this afternoon with the next dose, things will be okay.
I feel very lucky. Some of my fellow MS-ers deal with the awful burning pain (like I had the other night) on a daily basis. |

| I am home. Endoscopy went well, but the ulcers are still there. I'm not sure yet about possible surgery. They also did a biopsy, which worries me since they just did one the last time and it was negative. (Why another one?) Still a little loopy, so going to lie down for awhile and rest. Will be back later. |

Ulcers have been hurting pretty badly the last day and a half. I'm not sure if they were irritated by the scope or if it was just time for them to act up. Almost went to the hospital last night, but managed to actually get the doctor on the phone (how often does that happen!) and he said to double up the tummy meds and see if that helps. And it's back to soft and bland for me. Boo.
Well, enough whine. Cheese shall be served shortly. |

Because doing a test is better than not doing it, I suppose.
When your ulcers are reminding you that they exist, can you shut them up with cold water?

| Ooh - cold hurts. Then again, warm soup hurts. Someone suggested a chamomile/mint tea with honey. Maybe I will try that. |

Cold water helps with acid reflux but I wasn't sure about ulcers. Herb teas are lovely. With manuka honey, perhaps?

| Lesley, I did buy an herbal tea blend of Chamomile and Mint, and some honey to put in it. It's quite soothing. *Passes a cup to Lesley* |

| On today's episode of DestructoKitty, the Furry Terrors attempt to kill each other - with a song in their hearts! They are clearly trying to amuse their Mama, as every time they hit the kitchen floor, they both go skidding....then come running straight back to do it again! |

| How do I know I've been through enough tests? Sat down and told the Outpatient Admissions lady: "My contact is still ***, I still live on *** Street, I still have *** insurance, no allergies and I'm going through the doors across from the elevators. She just smiled and gave me my cute little bracelet. :) |

Thank you, Beth - that's delicious.
I hope the furry ones are still OK. :)
Apart from cute, what's the bracelet like?

It was just one of those vinyl/plastic patient bracelets they slap on your wrist so the techs and docs know you're you. And I'm so glad you mentioned it, because having been loopy for half the day from the Xanax....I forgot to cut it off!
Biscuits with your tea, Lesley? Honey or sugar? |

No sweetening, thank you, but a choccy biscuit would be nice!
It's not 3am yet so I think I'll go to bed and call it an early night. Sleep well, Beth. :)
