My cats are very grumpy tonight. Somehow, they know it's snowing out there (and they LOVE to watch it snow) but all they can see out the window is fog. I am temporarily living with Grumpy McGrumperson and Mr. Crankypants!
And Rocky is concealing his disappointment by considering another flying leap at the Christmas tree. His record - so far - is six ornaments in one swoop. |

| Good morning! (Or afternoon, or evening!) Hey, if any of my new Facebook friends need to know how to hide gaming posts (like those from Farmville) without hiding the gamer, please let me know. I do play several Facebook games. Working with missing kids and unidentified Does, I need a way to unwind and get rid of the tensions and emotion. But if you don't play, the posts can be annoying (and they're easy to hide). I do try not to post obnoxiously, though. |

On the old format, you went to "Wall" and rolled your mouse on the right hand side at the top of the posts, and you got Options on your own page, Filters on someone else's:
Lesley and Friends . Just Lesley . Just Friends
I can't see it on the new format wall. A lot of things have been moved around, but this seems to have disappeared, unless you can only see it on your own wall?

They have supposedly 'fixed' things so that you only see a game's posts (on your newsfeed, not your profile) if you play that particular game. Hopefully, that is working. But if Farmville (or Baking Life or CityVille) posts are suddenly appearing on your newsfeed, just hover and find the 'X' in the upper right section of the post. It will give you the option to Hide Post, Hide All Farmville Posts or (gulp!) Hide me. If you choose Hide All Farmville Posts, they are then gone for good from your newsfeed.
You would, however, still see them if visiting my page. But I try to remove them from my page after a couple of hours so that the Amber Alerts and news of the missing are as visible as possible.

Well, I can't call my book-to-be "Tale of Two Kitties". There was a Garfield special called "Tail of Two Kitties" and a Merrie Melodies feature cartoon called "Tale of Two Kitties". (This saddens me.) But I shall find a new title!
What about DestructoKitties in America? (Or maybe just The Adventures of DestructoKitty?) |
