They have been very quiet (so far) for the rest of the day. They both sat and looked appropriately humble while I got the tree back up and decorated. Maybe Santa Paws will forgive them. Maybe.
Merry Christmas, everybody! |

I am a little upset with my neurologist this morning. I called Central Scheduling to set up the dreaded spinal tap appointment...and he never called in the order! So I have to use up phone units trying to reach his office (which is like trying to call the Pope or the President) and then call Central Scheduling back again. Sigh.... |

I hate when someone drops the ball on something they are supposed to handle.
What are "phone units"?
I hope you have resolution soon.

I have a Tracfone and must buy phone cards to add minutes (called units) to it. While my particular phone has double minutes for life with any card I buy (and this makes the units reasonably cheap) it still irks me that I have to spend them straightening out the neuro's mistake. He also forgot to call in one of my prescriptions last week and I had to make several calls to straighten that out, as well.
I really like him because of how gentle and understanding he was during the EMG (aka the Electric Shock Torture Test) but I am beginning to wonder if I need to find a new neuro... |

That's good he was gentle, but sooner or later his patients are going to go elsewhere if he keeps on being lax on what's *his* responsibility!
My family physician's consistently late for his appointments and, while his patients may joke around that he must not have a watch, we'll continue to see him because he's good at what he does, doesn't miss much, an follows through on stuff
Hope everything gets straightened out soon.

Rocky is in the corner, having an entire conversation with his shadow. Bubba is on my lap and he is having....gas. So everything is status quo here.
If Bubba ever decides to move, I am going to feed my inner child some blackberries! |

| No callback from neuro yet. I have left TWO messages stating that he never called in the spinal tap order - and both times asked for a callback. Just spoke to Central Scheduling - again - and there still has been no order called in. *Angry!* |

| I guess I'm more frustrated than angry. A dear friend pointed out tonight that maybe he (and his office staff) are on vacation during this week between the two holidays. But the benefit of the doubt only lasts until Monday! |

| FINALLY heard from the neuro's office. My friend was right; they were gone last week for the holidays. The staffer who called said she faxed the order for the spinal tap to either radiology or central scheduling before the holiday, though - and it got lost somewhere in between the departments. She is currently tracking it down for me. Apparently, I was also supposed to have lab work done after my last visit...but no one told me to go down to the lab. Will have to head up there in the next few days and have blood drawn. |

Thank goodness you've heard - and damn these people who want holidays. (I was told about an accountant who always took a week's holiday in the last week of the tax year.)
Isn't communication a wondrous thing?
