Uff ... I'm a member for 9 and a half years now, but does this little ducky find its way to my profile? No!
When I'm out on a walk I try to carry some bread or rolls with me to be able to bribe any duck that crosses my way, just in case it is some distant cousin of Funtrivia's Lucky and could put in a good word for me.

OK, the fact that someone can be picked for the Duck badge twice, that is a glitch that needs fixing. If they can let you know that you are in line for a monthly badge in amongst all the people who have won it already, they can stop handing out the duck badge twice to the same person. With 8000 people on average logged in, there are too many who still need it. Yes, I said NEED, I'm working on finding a sponsor for my addiction.

I hate to have to do it, but it looks like I'm going to have to construct a trap of some kind to capture this elusive little fowl! I promise it won't hurt him, I would never harm an animal! I just want him to come near my profile so I can catch him, that's all! :(

11 and 1/2 years (before the little guy was even a twinkle in Terry's eye), every day... except for a couple of computer crash repairs and long weekends away... and nary a feather from the little cutie pie for me either.

On my team posts, I have often said that I will never get _______________. (fill in the blank with whatever badge is hard to get).
But, later on I go from "not believing I can get the badge" to "maybe I can get the badge" to "I've got a real shot at getting the badge" to finally, actually receiving the badge. Even though the Lucky Duck badge is all luck, I will employ the same strategy here, hopefully getting the badge at some future date, by boldly declaring:
I will never get the Lucky Duck badge!
...now to see how this goes...

Keep a positive attitude. Maybe that duck will waddle your way. I am positive he may get preoccupied with a water puddle and forget he was coming to see me.

I was one of the lucky ones,so to speak. I got mine within
6 months of joining the site.
I think the trick is to not want it so bad,
good things happen when you not actively looking for it,
Lady Luck taps you on the shoulder,she doesn't appear
until she is good and ready.

I've never expressed a desire to get (or catch) the Ducky. In fact, I don't think I really want it. I'm perfectly happy to watch it making its daily waddle into other people's profiles. At least, I would be if I bothered thinking about it.
