Honeybee, you are a lucky duck! I want one, too. I´ve been here for 3 years, 8 months and 22 days. That´s unjust:)

With the exception of possibly three or four days, I've logged on the site daily over the last two years or so, still waiting for my 'ducky' to fly home! Someday! Also looking for the elusive 'Perfect Score' badge (I've had a few of 'em over the years as well). Let's not talk about the 'Treasure Hunt' right now, though. Good luck, everyone!

I've been on F/T nearly every day for 3-years and just got the Lucky Duck badge last month. I, too, thought I'd never get it. If you stop looking for it, it will come!
(Remember, a watched pot...)

I've been here 7 1/2 years, don't have it. It's just luck, don't stress over it.

What happens is that the award of the Lucky Ducky is completely random so it sometimes gets awarded to someone who has the Duck already. When that happens, no badge is given to anyone.
Ducks are picky you know. They only go to the very best people and sometimes they try to flock. ;)

Aha, I never log out either, that's obviously why I don't have a little ducky pal on my profile - if a player logs in and out many times per day, will that improve their odds or doesn't it work like that?

I've wondered the same thing, also with the perfect score badge, as in the more perfect scores you have, the more "entries" you have. I wonder if the lucky duck badge is done similarly.

According to Terry, you don't need to log out... if the server notes that you are inactive for X amount of time it will log you out anyway. You may not notice a new log in but it's there.
I never log out... and I have the Duck. And it's all MINE I tell you, mwahahahaha!
****
I must say that it was the same for me. I rarely log out. It's too annoying to have to sign in each day. Ducky just happened to be waiting for me one morning.
{And flopsy might think it's *hers*, but it likes *me* best}

I won my Perfect Score badge on the same day I won my Endurance & Best In Class badges. I think the only reason I was chosen for the Perfect Score badge that day is because I had taken tons of quizzes all day long to keep my points up. At the end of the day when the points are all totaled to see who has won these badges, I was still taking quizzes so my username came up numerous times. I was going for my Endurance badge & never planned on getting the Perfect Score badge, too. Maybe it helps to take a lot of quizzes over a short period of time? I'm not sure but it helped me win it! Now if I can only get that Lucky Ducky badge! :)

I'm surprised that with so many people who haven't won the Lucky Duck Badge, that there are many times in which nobody wins the badge because it was given to someone who already won it. Many people are winning the badge twice before the majority of people are getting it for the first time. :)

You can't *win* a Lucky Ducky badge, it picks you. Some of us are picked, some are picked more than once, and some are never picked at all. *crocodile tears*
PS Postie, your duck and my duck are not the same duck, they just look alike. Yours likes you, mine likes me, and none of them yet like JBCizzle. ;)

Nobody's duck likes me either. I'd love a duck, and look after it.

surdoux, you have a cat in a hat, with strumming paws, no less. You need a duck, too? Wouldn't that be an embarrassment of riches?
