Every year in the build-up to Christmas, we hear songs that we hear too many times on the radio, but there's always at least one you love to hear. What is your favourite song to hear at Christmas time?

ElusiveDream I like the traditional Christmas carols. My favourites are the Twelve Days of Christmas & Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Greatguggly Away in a Manger. My mother-in-law loves Christmas music and even when it's not Christmas time, she asks me to play Christmas songs on acoustic guitar. She doesn't really appreciate my electric slash and burn versions though.

My favorite traditional Christmas song/carol is "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" but my favorite modern song is "Christmas Shoes."

singer_5320 I am in love with Sleigh Ride and Jingle Bell Rock. I have played these songs too many times that my dad tells me to change the song everytime he hears it. Lol.

I have always loved this song. When I watched the film "A Midnight Clear" and heard this version of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear", it became my favorite interpretation.

Daaanieeel One of my favourite artists, Sufjan Stevens, has released a Christmas album, full of great tracks. I particularly like his rendition of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing". I believe Bright Eyes has done something similar.

Caseena Boxjaw, yes, that is a gorgeous but haunting rendition. It's a shame that the soundtrack for that movie has never been released, or even that song on either a Sam Phillips or a Christmas album.

Caseena Mannheim Steamroller's "Fum Fum Fum" and "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen."

TSO's "Christmas Eve Sarajevo."

Kenny Rogers' "O Holy Night."

Natalie Cole's "Gesu Bambino."

To name a few.
