Subject: Famous people who really annoy you!
Date: Dec 20 10

For some reason,I was just thinking about certain celebrities who really get under my skin so I decided to make this thread! Let me know which ones really bug you! :)

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

lesley153 Is Holmes a terrorist in the mainstream sense of the word, or just dysfunctional and possibly brainwashed?

lesley153 Ricky Martin sang Livin' la Vida Loca. This little fact is the text of half the questions in the Music category.

Katy Perry is better at singing than she is at picking men. IMHO.

lesley153 Just stumbled upon this online:

"Locks keep out only the honest."
-Jewish Proverb

Sums up perfectly what I think of most control laws.

Greatguggly I don't know much about Holmes. I call anyone who does something like that a terrorist. Love the proverb, it is perfect.

lesley153 Just checking, because that's what he is. I wonder what effect it'll have on cinema audiences.

Once again I must come to the rescue of the 'other side of the coin'.

Lesley, Executive privilege is a tool that POTUS uses so he doesn't have to answer certain questions posed by the legislative or judicial branches of the government.

So far President Obama has used this tool once. The previously mentioned reasons given by Rick.

President G.W. Bush used this tool six times.

Anyone calling themselves a Democrat and insists that there be an absolute ban on firearms is not a Democrat at all. They are simply an idiot. The Second Amendment to our Constitution protects the right to own and use firearms. I'm a Democrat. I own several guns. I have many friends who are of the same political persuasion as me who own and use firearms. None of them pursue the thought of banning firearms. As well as very close friends who are Republican who also own firearms.

Remember, don't let the black and white of a few blurbs and words paint the true picture. There's a whole lot of colors between the black and white.

The proverb you posted is very truthful. In so many ways.

Now I think I'm going to kiss a girl and start ' Livin' la Vida Loca'! I start my vacation today. WooHooo!

Hey Rick. Sometimes I think this may be me and you. Figure out who's who. 14:00 minutes. Hang in there.

lesley153 I don't think we have anything like Executive Privilege in Britain. We may have something the Crown can use but probably doesn't. The nearest I can think of it diplomatic immunity but that's everywhere, not to mention perfectly ridiculous IMHO.

"... don't let the black and white of a few blurbs and words paint the true picture." Ha! wouldn't dream of it.

Been living la vida loca for years but draw the line at kissing girls.

We don't have 'Executive Privilege', but we do have DA Notices (Defence Advisory) - formerly D Notices. And we are very adept at the 'Under The Rug Shuffle' when it comes to the rich and powerful or 'Establishment' figures.

lesley153 I remember D Notices! Thank you, Paul :)

Our politicians don't need all that legal stuff. They just lie, give out a few Knighthoods or employ the people who are asking awkward questions.

Daaanieeel Along with the two people I mentioned earlier (Lady Gaga and the Kardashians) I can't stand Lara Bingle (Australian model who has her own show ala Kim Kardashian but trying to make her look intelligent or something) and all of the "stars" of the new Australian show "The Shire" (Australia's version of "Jersey Shore", which I also can't stand). How they can name it "The Shire" and not have one Hobbit is beyond me. ;)

Daaanieeel Ach, and I have to add, Russel Brand comes across as extremely obnoxious.

lesley153 Latest sleb gossip on Russell Brand is that the ladies are repulsed by his indifference to personal hygiene, including dirty underwear. Lovely.

John Cleese is a silly old fart. Married again for the fourth time to a woman he met in the street. He had better start selling tickets for his next show now to pay for the next divorce. The silly old fool, I am getting fed up with always seeing him in the papers telling us all about his marriages.

veronikkamarrz I like Russell Brand. I think he's adorable, and pretty funny.I just want to look, though...Don't need to get close enough to smell him! :)

lesley153 ... or indeed to check his underwear. :(

I don't like Whoopi Goldberg. I don't really know why. I just know that if I ever met her, I couldn't stand her.
