"Too stupid to realize that their assinine political opinions are completely irrelevant."
Beautifully put, Rick. Sadly there are a lot of these people, and we have them too. For example:
Annie Lennox - has-been singer in dire need of publicity.
Alexei Sayle - never-was-funny "comedian"
Jeremy Hardy - not-as-funny-as-he-thinks-he-is comedian, now, mercifully sunk without trace.
Any advances on this lot?

Not political, as far as I know: just asinine; Jack Whitehall, who tells the world that he's a comedian, but is nothing more than a mumbling Hooray Henry. He does get laughs, but that's probably because he has good warm-up people - unless they laugh when he calls himself a comic.
His only talent that I'm aware of is having a father in the business. (He's not a comedian either.)

Ashton Kutcher in general but specifically those camera commercials. Some decent human being oughta bop him upside the head.

Where to start? Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie and the Kardashians are givens, of course. I get sick and tired of seeing Branjelina's faces plastered over every gossip magazine cover. I can't stand either of them, but mostly her!Lindsay Lohan also springs to mind, even though I feel sorry for her, she has enough money to book herself into a decent clinic and get free of her alcohol/drug addictions, and also to get some good therapy to find out why she needs substance crutches in the first place. Same goes for Charlie 'King of the Flip-Outs' Sheen. I don't care about the Governator and his shenanigans, Britney Spears, why Faith Hill is getting a divorce, or any of the other idols of the gabmag world, and I feel sad for all those who do care about such things.

Snookie - obnoxious
Roseanne Barr - even MORE obnoxious! Can you believe how low American tv will stoop when that irreverent pig will have a new series...about her macadamia nuts?!
David Caruso - All he seems to have mastered is whipping off a pair of sunglasses and uttering nonsensical lines in his mono-toned voice. Br-r-r-r!
Jerry Seinfeld - his falsetto whine makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.
Then there are politicians and corporate honchos I won't bother to list here.

Agreed about Roseanne. Anybody who can make Tom Arnold seem entertaining and not annoying is pretty bad.

I would disagree with Annie Lennox being a has been because she isn't and at least she does something useful, like raising funds for HIV in South Africa. And she can sing the socks off most of the ones who are in the charts.
The famous people that really annoy me are:
Jordan - always flashing her parts
Peter Andre - always flashing his muscles
Wayne Rooney and his missus - always flashing their money
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - always flashing their new kid
All the Eastenders crowd - can't stand the program
All the Coronation Street crowd - ditto

Did you ever stop to think that these celebrities are people who you have never met and who might be really nice when you get to know them? One of the celebrities mentioned in this thread is my cousin. I won't say who, because it would make the person who posted it feel terrible. This celebrity gets a lot of bad press as a "dumb blonde" and she's anything but that. Even though I've never met her, I have been told by relatives that she's very sweet.

It's ok MotherGoose to think that someone is annoying and not feel terrible. There are people in my life that don't know me and think I'm annoying. I have cousins that think I'm annoying. Everyone has someone who thinks they're annoying. There are people I work with that I find annoying. But do I truly know them? Someone you know thinks you're annoying, but they don't know you. If they did know you they probably wouldn't thing that though. Or would they? ;^)

I can't think of any, actually.
The ones I've met have been kind and took time to chat. Yes, one or two of them may have been a bit standoffish but that's just human nature.
I like being unknown. If I am on the deck in my jammies, no one cares.
