It's not Miracle and neither of the suggested women appear.
The "young female" is now in her early 30's. She played a younger person in the film in question.

I don't know the age of the character in the film, she looked (to me) to be fifteen or sixteen. The actress who played her was well over that age.

The director of the film in question also directed the actress in another film. The director was not born in America.
