Ten years later than "Straight Story" (nice segue Paulmallon.)
Not about war.
Not "The Blind Side". I might shed a tear or two for sad human stories, however, any tale concerning an animal will get me every time.

well "The Blind Side" was a sort of movie that made you tear up because it was "mostly happy" (if that makes any sense lol)
Anyway, how 'bout "Marley and Me"? I didn't see it myself, but apparently my sister bawled through at least half of it.

I loved "The Blind Side"! I meant to convey that animal tales always get to me.
Not "Marley and Me" but close; a dog is the star.

It's earlier than "Darling Companion". I haven't seen that one but I read that the husband loses the dog. I can't
see that marriage lasting.
The title contains four words, the first is the dog's name: followed by three words that are all included in clues already given. (The word after the dog's name is "A".)

Hachi: A Dog's Tale
:) I remember refusing to watch it on the grounds that it would probably make me sob.

Chavs, it would, most certainly, have made you sob. It's the saddest film I've ever seen.
So, what movie are you?

I am a 21st Century thriller with an international ensemble cast.

Although it's listed as a thriller, it's more of a disaster-type-movie.

Uh, I'll go with Contagion. Not sure how international you are intending, but that has a French actress, English actor, and the rest American, so hopefully it's enough to count. :P

It has more Brits in it than I realised at first - Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Ehle are all English - there may be more. Gwynneth Paltrow is married to an Englishman so she's virtually a Brit. :D

Hmm, you're right, there are more English in there than I had realized, too. Interesting.
Ooh, hole in one. How awesome! :D The "disaster thriller" left only a few options. :P
Anyway, on to my pick. Ummm, ok, I am a biographical film, which I, personally, love.
