I haven't checked but it's been around 12C the last couple of days, a great relief after last month.

It was 60 earlier today but now it's around 45. Winds and came in and blew the warm away.

Perth, Western Australia has had a record 14 consecutive nights where the temperature has not fallen below 20C.
The city has also had 21 consecutive days of daytime temperatures of 30C or higher.
Just trying to remember what it is like to be cool !

Right now, minus 24 C, with a windchill that makes it feel like minus 34 C. Going down to minus 32 tonight, with winds gusting to 40 kph, so very cold indeed.*

*minus 24 C is equal to minus 11 F. Minus 32 C is minus 25.6 F. Minus 34 C is minus 29 F. 40 kph is equal to 25 mph.

It's been snowing gently but steadily all weekend and all day today, so there is about 6 inches of fresh snow on top of all the old icy slippery snow. It's been windy, too, so there are inconvenient drifts everywhere. I ran out in just my shoes to start my car and clear the snow off before I left for work this morning, and lo and behold, although there were other places that the wind had swept clear of snow, ALL around my car were drifts a foot or more deep for my stockingless feet to step into. You'd think that at least one side would have been clear, but no.

Spring can't come soon enough for me.

I can remember going out to find that a plow had piled so much snow on our side of the street our cars were totally invisible. Just powdery white lumps in a row, window-deep in the stuff.

Shiningstar7 Went from the 60s last night to the 30s tonight, what a difference a day makes! The storms blew in cooler air.

A sign of how cold it's been around here this last week or two:

Normally, the schoolchildren are kept inside if the temperature is colder than minus 20 C (around -4 F). In the mornings, as the buses show up, an announcement comes on the outdoor speakers, letting the kids know what the temperature is, and telling them, lately, that they need to come inside. Yesterday, with almost hysterical happiness, the announcement was "It's only minus 23, with no wind! Stay outside! Play! Get some fresh air!"

It got up to minus 15 by the afternoon, and I have to say, it felt positively balmy. People were walking their dogs, shovelling snow...

Cymruambyth It's -16 Celsius right now - going to a high of -13 C today and snow is also in the forecast. We're about ten degrees lower than normal for this time of year.

It's 37F (3C) right now, a bit cooler than normal for this time of year, but gray, windy and damp. I saw a chipmunk this morning, though. Maybe that's a sign of Spring!

It's 43F (6C) right now, warm for an evening this early in March here. But with well over a foot of snow on the ground, and snow banks as high as 6 feet, we'll take it!

callie_ross It's 31 degrees here & snowing.
