We've had wild weather in southern West Aust over the last few days, with more expected tonight. Yesterday, all the staff in our office who live out of town (some between 40 & 50 km away) were sent home so they could get home safely before the next storm struck.
I look forward to the next few weeks spent cutting trees off fencelines and drafting stock back to where they belong, not to mention counselling our very timid sheepdog who hates storms !

The time and temperature recording on the phone said it was 107 degrees F. here today. I will see the highs on the TV news report tonight. What a hot day! Nebraska is usually cooler?

Way too hot! It's been in the 90's here for a few weeks now. The grass is yellow & dead, everything is dry as a bone. We've had very little rain. I really, really hate Summer! Worst season ever!

106 today, topping off two weeks of 100+ temps. We went almost a week without air conditioning due to an electrical storm. We are very lucky considering the heat-related deaths, the storm damage/deaths and lack of electricity in our area.
