Humphrey Davy named it "aluminum" in the first place, but apparently it was changed to "ium" to match the other "ium" elements (even though there were other "um" elements too, like tantalum). I use both versions sometimes, haha - mostly "aluminum" though.

Mine's in the queue too.
I say al-u-mini-um but it's more from how I learnt from others. Small differences like that and "color/colour" (for example) don't really matter to me, though.

The Dogs Challenge will likely be one to go alongside their cat counterparts, but there's no guarantee for the rest of them.

But they're always fun to write :) And, if you play all the quizzes in each challenge as they come online, you can find yourself with a badgelet the day it gets announced, without having to do anything :D
