As this is a chain game it goes in here. Inspired by the 'Ask me' thread I thought of a true free association thread, where you simply write what you thought of after reading the last entry. No theme whatsoever of course, as it's basically what comes into your head first automatically. I'll start it off.

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Bev,you might have a better chance of catching a bottle of Leaping Bubbly if you take someone that's recently earned a Degree with you. :))

C30 My wife earned one in 197 - plonk...........don't suppose that counts Red? Best I managed was 'O' levels!

lesley153 It's worth a look, Bev, because it was half price. :) I actually got it on my way to the station to pick up someone that's recently earned a Degree, otherwise I don't think I'd have taken any notice.

Ray - of course it counts!

lesley153 This is one of my all-time favourite bits of telly - where a group of schoolchildren of O level age (15-16), regarded as being on track for good GCSEs, hear their results for a 1950s maths test, and find that it wasn't even O level: it was a 1950s eleven-plus.

I think my enjoyment of this counts as schadenfreude.

My boy hasn't started A levels yet so might have to pay a visit just because "I'm worth it"!

Greetings all! If I misinterpreted anything then that's on me! I try to avoid conflict so I did as I was always taught... walk away instead of creating additional drama. Thanks to those who wanted me to come back (that was nice)! Going to Nawlins (New Orleans) on Saturday with some friends to party. Hope everyone is well! :)

I'm doing well, but if you look at Touranment 8 in the Knockout, I could be playing against REDVIKING tomorrow.

lesley153 Go for it Bev - I was there again this afternoon, and the offer was still on. Stock up!

veronikkamarrz "That'll Teach 'Em" is so wonderful, Lesley! I can't stop watching...Soon, there won't be any more episodes! Then what shall I do? ;)

lesley153 Mel, if you are up against him, do you think you could persuade him to sing?

lesley153 Sorry, VM, there are no more episodes. Watch them all twice till you find yourself speaking like the teachers?

veronikkamarrz Yep, I'm guessing that I will...I know there won't be any more 'new' stuff, but it's still sad, that there is nothing to look forward to! I'm working on the 'Brit-Speak':)

Welcome back Saints, everyone here (well within reason ;)) is quite harmless, we come here to get away from the hassle we get everywhere else.

Brit-speak? I thought that was standard English until I came across people who couldn't follow me. But I do have to try and avoid my usual local references here as East Finchley, Brent Cross shopping centre, Finchley Road, The Quadrant or Neasden Parade are meaningless to most people in Britain as well as worldwide. But then again it coould be my work to publicise them (as of course I just have).

If I can stand Mom's singing I can take anything (she likes to sing, but can't carry a tune to save her life-and I'm still standing, so... bring it on :))
