I'm from East Finchley if you go by length of occupation. It has many cockneys at the other end of the road, but not where I lived.

I lived in North Finchley for a year.
And I had a schoolfriend called Janice Deighton. We were sitting in the physics lab, and she mentioned that her Uncle Len had a book published. "That's nice," I said. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have touched her, or asked for her autograph.

Don't think so, but a lot of strange things go on in physics labs.

Good to see a little bunch of us around North London, I seem to have attracted a small community! I'm trying to think of a Janice, there was one at school (wasn't there always in the 60s?) and a blonde one I saw at a quiz once in nearby Temple Fortune who I fell for in a few minutes and never saw again. I would doubt it was her but anything's possible in this world.

Oh, and my mother's friend Janice just off the High Road. Now that would be a coincidence.

Been thinking (well I do sometimes)......Janice, whilst not a rare name, is not THAT common, but we all know someone with it!
Now "Sue" is another story! There was this girl at school..................!

I've never met a "Janice" I liked. And only one "Janis," and she didn't last long.

I can remember two Janices! One was very nice. The other one was the senior fashion buyer for a Highstreet Store group. They went bust owing me £17,000. Didn't like her.
