A lot of people hated it but I loved Back to the Future II. I think it's the best one. The Two Towers is also great.

I think that a good sequel carries on with the plot of the first movie and does new things with the characters. Another sign is that, if you see the sequel first, it makes you want to see the first movie. That's how Terminator 2 was for me--I saw it first, and then saw the original. I like them both, and both have great things about them.
