Subject: What badges are difficult?

I find some of the badges to look too challenging. What is your advice to someone in their first year of funtrivia.com? What tips do you have to make the challenges easier or more obtainable? Any further comments are welcome.

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Life is challenging.

If everything is made easier...then why bother to try?

Keep playing, learn something in the process and you may discover the badges are not as difficult as you thought.

Oidioid32123 You could always win who's the expert by changing the category to one you're good in.

Isn't there already a thread for this topic?

Sorry, I did not see the other thread. Maybe there is something else about badges to be discussed? Any ideas?

I can tell you that the Monster quiz, which says it will take 183 years to complete all 1,000,000 questions (assuming you play every day) has been shaved down nearly 25 years just by playing one extra quiz a week! It's only 159 years now. ;-)

I am working on the monster quiz. It does not look too difficult to get the 10,000 questions completed?
The Mission Impossible Badge is possible believe it or not. I finished it today. The setlist Badge and Dogs Badges weren't that difficult either. This site has been really good for a mental workout. Anyone want to comment on badges?

I think most of the badges have both their fans and detractors. There are so many styles and difficulties that there is something for everyone.

Some badges, such as the Endurance and Monster, are achievable by sheer persistence. Others, such as The Smartest and the Global challenges, require more knowledge (much of which can be acquired just by playing lots of quizzes LOL). Do whatever makes you have 'Fun' :-)

Does anyone really have 50,000 points on the Daily Points?
5,000 points on the mini word wizard game? Some challenges look almost unrealistic. I only no of one player with the chatterbox badge. What is it about badges and challenges that attract players to keep playing?

MyGirl, there are TONS of people with the chatterbox badge. I have it. Kyleisalive has it. Rossian has it. PDAZ has it. There's a big list. ;-)

As for those games with 50,000 points, yes, there are people who have it. What keeps us coming back is the prospect of eventually earning a badge. For me, I only have 25,000 points, but I keep playing so I can someday get that 50,000. And don't give up, either. You'll get to 50,000 eventually, even if you only get 1 point a day and it takes 50,000 days to do it. ;-) Of course, there is a 20 point platform limit, so worst case scenario it will take only 2500 days to do it. :-) Keep at it!

If you are only posting in order to get a chatterbox badge then it will take much longer, as it seems the moderators are very much aware of those that post/create threads just to get a badge. Take part in the existing threads, get involved, interact with others and you will get it.

I think it's the fact I like challenges, learning and getting to know other people.

The badges, to me, are a representation of determination. You know, sticking with what you started.

As far as 50,000 points needed for certain badges...I look forward to the day they appear. I am not in a big hurry.

The joy is also in the journey...not just in reaching the destination.

The Riddle is beating me up. I believe I have solved the first part. I will get this badge. I will get this badge. Never surrender.

One of the most attractive aspects of FT is that there are things on here that I can't figure out. Yet!

Excuse me, Salami-head, but I got my Chatterbox badge waaay before PDAZ got hers. Just saying. ;)

I managed to get the badges for 50,000 points in the Daily Game and in the World Game on the same day, an achievement I was quite pleased with at the time. Now all I need is for four of my fantasy picks to get through this week and I shall be happy. :D

lol, I know; there hasn't been too much time that I haven't had over 100 posts constantly. lol. Ever since I got it, it's been pretty consistent. ;-) lol.

Does Chatterbox take 100 posts or threads? I have heard it both ways? I do want to communicate with FT people.

No one knows for sure, and posting just to get the badge will most likely mean it won't be awarded. So stop counting, contribute to discussions if and where you can when it's appropriate to do so, and the badge will arrive one day. It's supposed to be about making a contribution, not a tally.

That is so right Flopsey Posting senseless posts that ramble on and on and on and say nothing just as well as those that don t can be constrewed as well, we may never know the exact intent of the writter some people feel they are contributing something worthwhile when others consider it bunk. Just like this post.
