Welcome, all! Sit down on one of the couches, or pull up a chair: itâ??s all about comfort in my little place. Some of the furnishings have yet to be installed, but itâ??s still nice and comfortable :)

Music, food, games, talk--whatever you want :))

Hands are better. Finally got hydrocortisone opened-used scissors. At least I'm not tempted to scratch like I was last week. The new stuff's thicker and has a more potent smell than the other-I think, given how it feels, it might be more effective.

Mom didn't feel the best last night, not because of allergies but because she ate a western omelet at 3 AM.

Grandma continues to get better, though her cough persists-she wishes it would just go away.

Oh, forgot to mention I'm reviewing my tapes again, revising where necessary. It's a challenge, but a stress reliever also.

And speaking of tapes, I need to buy some blank ones so I can start working on gifts for Mom and Grandma for the holidays.

Just opened a book entitled 'Justice Hall: a Mary Russell Novel.'

I guess I do miss television (I doubt it was Mom's continued reference to 'Idol' that got to me, but rather my own from yesterday, when I told the woman I used to wach Disney Channel. I guess some of those shows interested me far more than the majority of other stuff I watched)

When I was in TCU, I didn't watch it myself-but if my roommate put hers on, then I gladly listened to whatever was on (news programs, soaps, etc.)

The weather's decided to act strange again.

Tonight's low is in the 60's, and the humidity's back.

Tomorrow's high: back in the 80's.

Quiz 20 online :)

And there's a resident meeting called for Tuesday afternoon at 2 to discuss the Christmas bazaar. I've invited Grandma to come up that day for lunch, and she's going to help me sew labels into my clothing.

I finally got ahold of Chris from the Blind Association. He was out for a week and a half. We scheduled a meeting to discuss things for Monday at 1:30. (I gave him the basics, explaining briefly my fall a year ago in July: "I suffered a setback a year ago, and never really got my confidence back to where it should be.")

Turned on the air again (why does it have to be hot and humid now?)

It seems summer's saying, "You can't get rid of me this easily"

Oh dear-just noticed Uncle Michael's birthday is Saturday

The right hand itches more than the left today, and both more so since getting the new hydrocortisone.

The skin's so dry at the spot of greatest itching that I dare not use lotion until the itching's gon.

I applied the cream three times yesterday, and at least that much already today-I'll aim for five.

lesley153 I looked up Western Omelette and found recipes that cooked the peppers and the onions or leeks first, and others that just threw them in raw, I think if I ate rae onions and peppers at 3am I'd be up for a week. I hope she's OK!

Could you go back to the hydrocortisone you used first?

I believe a Western Omelette is also called a Denver Omelette...either way...raw vegis in it is never a good idea. A crunchy omelette?

Jazmee, could what you are putting on your hands be making them worse?

I ran out of that other stuff and, besides, I think the new stuff's working better. There were just a few days when I wasn't using any because I didn't have any-and even when I did, I didn't apply it enough because I didn't have a full tube left.

Mom seems to have recovered from that, but again she's working late hours: "They're having a recognition dinner, and I'm a greeter."

Unfortunately, when Mom called she had to leave a message because I turned off the ringer or hung up or whatever causes it to go straight t voice-mail.

I don't think the hydrocortisone I'm using now's making it worse-it's just there hasn't been enough time.

It's only been the second day with this new stuff.

At first, I had my doubts about "Justice Hall," but I'm beginning to think I'll like it.

Hello everyone. I forgot to put batteries in my keyboard and couldn't figure out why couldn't log online.

I hope I remember to check the simple solutions first.
