Mine is a wireles keyboard so you can sit on the couch and text from 8 feet away. But it takes two AA batteries and eats them up pretty fast.
It's obsolete but all I have.

When I get excessive typos, I should always check that first, but I was having a migraine that day and just forgot.

That's OK-we all make mistakes.
My package has arrived.
And my book's getting so good I can't stay away.

Oh, a wireless set-up. I understand.
I know someone who wanted to clean their wireless keyboard. They put it in the dishwasher. It didn't work afterward.
I checked the keyboard and the mouse. What a relief...no batteries.

Daymare, that is about my level of tech savvy, wash the keyboard in the dishwasher!
We baby boomers were so deprived because things hadn't been invented yet!

What I do to liven up the day and deal with life's stresses:
Write or type stories, poems, songs, quizzes, or blog entries;
Listen to or read books and magazines;
Practice piano;
Exercise;
Talk on the phone;
Listen to music;
Work on my audio drama; or
Write or tape a letter.

Thanks Daymare.
I've been told people are inspired by me. Sometimes, I wonder why; what do I have that they don't? I'm just struggling to live my life the best I can with what I've been given.

You try. Some people give up even before they try.

You explore your options. To a person afraid to take the first step to live, that can be inspiring.
I just have to refrence a TV show called Expedition Impossible that we had in the US. It took place in the country of Morroco. Teams were made up of three people. They had team NYPD, New York cops.
Team No Limits had a blind member, Erik. I was so impressed with him. He has summited Mt. Everest, and rappeled, kayaked, whatever the challenge was with the best of them. One of the tests was to count how many cobras the snake charmers were holding, Erik quipped " I don't see any."
I think there were 13 teams at the start. Team No Limits almost won, but one of the sighted guys fractured his lower leg, but continued to compete. They placed second.
I sound like a commercial. But if you like that sort of TV show, The Amazing Race is starting this Sunday. They go from country to country on that one.
Jazmee, you'll just have to accept being inspirational.

I guess there's worse things I could be :))
And, yes, I know that sentence isn't grammatical--it would drive Mom crazy, and to an extent does me, too (irony? I do things to drive myself crazy-on purpose!) |

That's Erik all right!
Jazmee, once at my job we were talking about our life's calling. I told them I knew exactly what my calling is, the girls very skeptically said "What"?
"To be the bad example that nobody should follow" I shot back, I got a huge laugh---they all knew it was true!
night-night I'm going to watch a little TV.

'Morning'
Postal-when I grow up, I want to be just like you :)
I apologize if my absense worried anyone. Just so much to do...
Finished "Justice Hall" Saturday, started "The Polluters" yesterday
Michael's birthday was Saturday. He still has a cough, but at his doctor appointment Friday, was given no additional meds (that's good, right?) His friend Rick took him out for his birthday (probably drinking-he stayed overnight at Rick's)
Daryl, Mom's cousin, is getting married for the third time. His siblings Kara and Junior think it's funny, whereas Grandma doesn't: "Maybe this one will last. You never know." She has a 9-year-old and him a 15- or 16-year-old (and, apparently, she wants more kids!) The shower's in a few weeks, and apart from Anita (his mother) we don't know who's invited.
Daryl collects papers for Scouts, and Grandma has ten bags. One neighbor just leaves them on his porch, but she doesn't want to do that. She's tried to get ahold of him numerous times. He doesn't have an answering machine because, in his words: "Why would I want to do that when I'm not even here to talk to them anyway?"
Mom pulled some dead skin off my right forefinger. Friday night, I spooked Ethan when I covered him-as it was humid, I slept with the AC on). I turned the light on to calm him down, then sat next to him. When he came over to play with the mirror, all seemed well-I had one finger on the perch, and he started nibbling around at it. Then, I must have scared him again or something, or else he was just plain mad, because he latched onto the digit and wouldn't let go (but it was the outside, and that didn't hurt anymore yesterday). My mistake was, when I removed my hand, I laid it against the bars--and he "attacked," reaching through the bars and biting again and again, until I removed it (he only bit the end of the forefinger, right below the nail). By the morning, he'd forgiven me and all was fine-except that the finger was sore (I'm fairly certain he drew blood and I wasn't even aware because I was so upset at myself for scaring him). Mom told me to use antibiotic ointment, and also to "keep doing whatever you're doing" to the tops of my hands, as "they're showing signs of progress."
Mom brought more food over yesterday when she came to help with the laundry (she was hobbling slightly, as she'd hurt her leg running)
- Cabbage casserole;
- Turkey pinwheels;
- Macaroni n' chees;
- Stuffed meatloaf;
- Dutch (or Western) omelet;
- Strawberries
She also brought over two new soaps, Country Apple and Fresh Picked Strawberries
My winter bedspread was put on yesterday, as the spring comforter needs to be laundered (Mom took it home with her as it's too big for the washers here)
I need to remember to tell Grandma when she comes tomorrow that one of the couch pillows has a small hole in it (it's great to have relative who's a seamstress-Mom has no patience when it comes to mending, but Grandma enjoys it)
I changed the spring centerpiece for the fall one (they're both baskets-the autumn one has tactile leaves all around the outside)
Mom did some vacuuming in the bedroom, and some in the living room. There's still some dirt to get, but she got most of it (she put the vacuum away as she needed to sit down, then it was time to remove the wash from the dryer)
Mom bought (I should say, I paid for it-she picked it up) a flat-screen TV/DVD player from Wal-Mart for $348+$50 for the bracket+however much it was for the three-year warranty. It's a brand she trusts, so... As soon as Michael can get up with his truck to take the old TV out, then I'll be able to deal with the new one
Speaking of TV:
When I moved in, Janice and Bill gave me a spare TV. I appreciated the thought, but never got it hooked up. Last night, I called to see what they want me to do with it-if they don't want it back, we're giving it to Jubilee (a consignment Shop). "We'll let you know within the week."
