Mine was fusilli and sauce out of a jar and a few veggies thrown in and cheese on top. Three out of three pasta - what would we do without it!
Jazmee, I'm sorry if I misinterpreted the remark, but it sounded like someone talking to a small child.
"Are you writing stories about your pretend friends? Wouldn't you rather be playing with your dolly?"
Except I wasn't there, and it may not have sounded anything like that.
I did like the "dumb little man" article. This is good:
" Remember, a company works its hardest when they're trying to win you as a customer. If they are terrible at that, imagine how terrible the service will be once they get your money. "
When I've responded to a television ad by phoning the company, had to press a succession of buttons just to get a new business quote, and then heard "all our agents are very busy... please continue to hold... your call is important to us... " I've hung up.
If they expect me to wait half an hour to be given a price: if they haven't had the foresight to get more staff to handle a big ad campaign; what indeed will the after-sales service be like? Am I going to stay long enough to find out? No chance!

I don’t think you misinterpreted, Lesley-it sounded like that to me, too (that’s why I reacted the way I did. Part of our “failure to communicate”? Did she really mean to sound like she was talking down to me? Or did she intentionally put condescension in her voice? [I’m almost tempted to say no, because she’s been like that for so long it’s probably something she’s not aware that she does—when discussing my stories, treat me like a kid! {She did later say she had no problem with imagination and creativity, and I thought ‘Really?’ Instead of encouraging me, she did the exact opposite-which, instead of putting me off writing, has caused me to pull away from sharing my fiction with her. I’ve shared my poetry—and my songs—but the fiction… I don’t even feel comfortable summarizing one of the stories to her.}])
Mom was so upset earlier when I spoke to her regarding the Comcast thing that I called them again. Spoke to Leslie again, who told me she couldn’t help me because it was an online offer, and she couldn’t direct me to anybody else at the company who could. “I suggest having a neighbor or relative help you.” I felt like screaming, and there was a long silence before I thanked her and hung up (I really hope they were recording that for “quality-control and training purposes” as one can obviously tell from the conversation that I was not pleased—I didn’t raise my voice, I didn’t cry, but I was tempted to do both [well, after the call I burst into tears—my classic “I’m irritated” reaction])
I detest that “your call is important to us” nonsense. Just as much, if not more than, “we are experiencing higher-than-normal volume of calls and longer-than-normal wait times.” Oh, and “all agents are currently assisting other customers. We’ll be right with you.” And while you wait, you get to hear all the ads you could view either online or in a newspaper. Grrrrrrr!

Chris and I worked on the route to the trash room (I know where it is, but haven't taken out the recycling in about a year; today, I forgot the trash). Then we did the trash room to the elevator and from there downstairs. But first, I had to ask him to get my key so I could get the mail.
He' coming again next Friday at 1:30
And he helped me with the walker, so it has a working wheel attached to the leg (he switched it with one in the closet, as he couldn't get the hair or whatever it was out of it)
I finished "Cursed," and am now reading 'Between a Hard and a Rock Place'

I had the living room window open, just barely, and shut it when it got dark
The bedroom's still open for the moment, but the door's closed as the air was a little chilly
What I *don't* want to do is keep running back and forth to open or close the window
It just gets so hot in here without air flowing
Air rises, and I'm on the fifth floor-at some point, I'll be glad to get their leftover heat (and that of my neighbors)
But right now, I still get a headache if it's too hot and stuffy

I seem to have at least one fan running all year. When the air stops, it does get stuffy.
Night, Jazmee. I'm tired.

Night, Daymare.
Mom finally called. She and Steph haven't eaten yet, so she'll call me when they're back at the house. And when she gets back, we'll order Digital Basic.
My computer's decided to act up. Several times, it told me I couldn't create a new 'word' document because "the system can't find the file name." Finally, I renamed the folder I was working in, and all of a sudden it let me create it.
My most recent stories would be perfect for Halloween--or a horror fest. Like I've said before, I have *no* clue where this stuff comes from (words just flow out of me like rain from a cloud).

For a Nawlins-style lunch, I had jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, red beans and dirty rice, a spicily dressed salad, and a few beignets.
Laissez les bons temps rouler! :)

Hi, Tina, doing well-except for seasonal allergies, but that's to be expected this time of year.
I can't believe it's October already
Monday, I intend to call maintenance to make sure the work order was put in Thursday
If all goes according to plan, looks like Comcast Installation will still be coming Thursday

Redid my folders again, and rearranged it so there's only one
It's called "HistoricalRecord" and is then catalogued by kingdom

I'm writing up a list in the Pac Mate with the titles of my folders and subfolders
It's not done yet, but when it is... time to post!
