Part 3, I just remembered, is complete; I have yet to add a part 5
Part 3 Devlyn
1 (actually, it's good I did it this way as it's a companion to part 4) Devlyn stood in the doorway, his eyes huge as saucers. He couldn’t be seeing what he thought he was seeing, could he?
Next to him, someone gasped, and he turned in time to see his brother, Cheveyo, face contorted with a profound agony. “Whatever was he thinking,” he croaked, running a hand absently through his thick black hair.
“Not about us, that’s for sure,” rang out a new voice. As one, Cheveyo and Devlyn turned.
“Tsoreivo,” Cheveyo snapped, “you’re to be in bed!”
“Heard noises,” the younger boy answered smugly, “thought I’d come see what’s what.”
“Big of you,” the six-year-old retorted sarcastically.
“Guys,” Devlyn blurted, hand over his ears, “must you argue? Gives me a headache!”\
“You give yourself one,” Tsoreivo muttered, trudging back to his own room.

Part 5 The Vampire
1
Francisco Jose Morehnta lay on his side, staring listlessly at the wall. One could not, in his opinion, see the things going on in the Universe without being affected by them. ‘What is this world coming to,’ he thought wildly.
Suddenly he stiffened, having heard some subtle noise from the corridor. ‘Wha—‘ And then his mind froze as he beheld a sight straight out of nightmare.
A shadow extracted itself from the darkness and glided toward the 20-year-old on silent feet. It looked horribly familiar, like those images of vampires he’d seen in old books. And yet, part of his mind screamed, it couldn’t be.
Then the beast dipped its head, and the young man was flooded with a horrible certainty. ‘What do I do?’

The 20-year-old never quite knew how he managed to lurch off the bed and run across the room. All he knew was, one second he was lying motionless, his breaths coming in shallow gasps, and the next he was up and moving with a speed that astounded him. Yet, at the same time, he knew it was hopeless—the vampire was pursuing him, and slowly, steadily, gaining. ‘You’re at the door,’ his mind screamed, ‘get out. But as his nervous fingers closed about the knob, the beast was on him, sinking its deadly fangs in his throat at the place where it met his spine.
With a strangled cry, Francis fell forward into the doorframe, slicing his forehead and nose open on the metal knob.
Francis slid down the door, dazed, and as he did so the thing on his back dug its claws and fangs deeper into his flesh, sighing with contentment as the young man’s blood poured from his injured body. Finally, with a tortured cry, Francis stiffened and lay still, a few drops of blood still glistening from his broken face.
Having gulped down all the blood from his victim’s back, the beast slid to the floor and approached the young man’s front. Then, with a moan of sheer pleasure, he licked the young man’s injuries until they were as dry as sandpaper.
Then, as silently as he’d come, the beast, whose name was Qiaso, slunk back into the shadows from whence he’d come. ‘Let the authorities find the body,’ he thought with a smile, ‘anyone who dares seek me out will just meet the same fate.’

I'm fairly certain I used at least one life experience here (when I smacked my forehead and nose against Mom's closet door)

Finished tape 15, side a (more about that later)
Grandma called earlier to ask if Daymare's on anymore. "Don't think so." :(
Post 1747:
Let's call the boy Warren and the girl Justine. His friend of 25 years is Kenneth; there may be some embarrassment there, as Kenneth droveWarren home from a bar (and Warren admitted some things which I don't think he would have wee he sober). Warren's also not talking to his cousin, whom he used to watch football together with (there may be bad memories here, as Justine used to do the same).
Logging off to watch "Sins of the Mothers"

Sorry, that's "Sins of the Mother"
Mom got home not too long ago. "I'm hoarse from screaming." They went on a "haunted hayride," and if you add allergens in the mix, you have... an interesting combination :)

Grandma's one cat, Scrappy, was making a lot of noise upstairs while we were on the phone; then she came down and was "prancing around like nothing had happened"
It's like Ethan: He picked at the bars of his cage, then when I said something to him in a voice that conveyed my irritation, he began chirping and acting all cute and innocent (innocent? Ethan? That's a laugh!)
These pets of ours :)
I have a line for when he gets on my nerves: "I was normal until I met you" (Mom says it to me all the time)

Universal Ruler
Part 1 Hard Choices
1, Farewell (based on part ofthe drama)
Caspian Brandis trudged up the path that led into the School for Gifted Pupils. His heart constricted when he pondered the young man walking silently beside him. ‘Preston’s lost so much already,’ Caspian thought, casting up a prayer to the Protector that some good would come out of it.

Part 2 The Ferguson
1 Narration
1
- Isabelle McConnaughey
I don’t remember what led up to this. All I know is, I’m trapped—in a cage, no less. And I know one more thing: the one who captured me is The Ferguson himself.
- Sean Ferguson
She’s the most beautiful captive I’ve ever had in my clutches. Shame she won’t stay that way for long.
- Anastasia Godunov
Where can Belle be? I’ve looked all morning for her, but can’t find her. I wanted to tell her…
- Ferguson
She’s a strong one; I’ll give her that.
Whipped her glorious body through that cage I put her in, and didn’t even cry out—at first, anyway. But in the end, the pain became too much… and she screamed and screamed. There’s nothing I enjoy more than hearing my victims cry out. And then, as the strap came down one final time—with as much strength as I could manage—she stopped, out cold.
And then I stood over her for a bit; reveling in the feeling of power hurting her gave me, feeling the sense of anticipation for the next round…
- Ontario Gonzales
I’m worried about Isabelle. I’ve looked everywhere—but when I asked Anastasia if she’d seen her friend, she acted as if _I was responsible for her disappearance! And then, when Alonso rose to my defense, she started arguing with him.
- Ferguson
She’s all mine. The words thrill me to no end. I know no one’s coming for her. My evil cronies are too good, ensuring they can’t travel magically—and if a rescue party is fool enough to make the journey on foot, we’ll crush them before they ever make it to where their “friend” is.
- Warryn Gonzales
I didn’t have long to wait before I spied them-some heading this way, others in the opposite direction. A challenge—how that notion makes my heart pound and my blood run through my veins.
- Viktorio Ramirez
Not very organized, are the search teams. Easy pickings for us, though.
B- Jordyn O’Connor
It was the least I could do. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough of us to be effective.
Most of the people in my group are as inexperienced as, well, as me. I don’t know the first thing about battling the Dark.
- Quentin O’Connor
That sister of mine’s in over her head.
At least I’ve studied battle strategies.
Unfortunately, a few others and I were soon forced away from the group in a feeble attempt to divert the Dark’s attention.
If only there were more of us out searching, we’d stand a better chance of…
But, of course, we’re on our own.
- Alonso Gonzales
I never met a woman who infuriated me more!
Belle’s missing, and immediately Anastasia assumes my twin’s behind it? That he’s playing some prank? “My brother wouldn’t do anything like that!” I said hotly.
“Of course you’d say that—he’s your brother.” She retorted angrily.
Now, I may be many things, but I’m not about to lie to protect another, no matter what the circumstance! So the very suggestion, well it just doesn’t sit right with me.
- Ferguson
How easy it was to connect Isabelle to that stretching machine.
Again, she tried to be strong—and again, the pain was too much for her.
Such a shame that lovely figure had to be soiled…
- Maria Rivera
Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this picture? A student’s nowhere to be found, and verbal sparring ensues? What practical purpose does that serve?
- Ferguson
I think that was the most fun I’ve had in a long time—breaking her bones like that. And this time, she didn’t even try to pretend it didn’t hurt—her screams could have been heard across the country. But she’s only wasting her breath; anyone looking for her is long dead now.
- Devlyn Ramirez
Why didn’t I speak up? Oh, yeah—Mr. Assistant Headmaster didn’t have a better idea!
We’ve been divided into teams and split up—given separate locations. The reason? So we don’t “attract Dark attention”.
- Brendyn Gonzales
I’ve been put in Ontario’s group, at least for now. But if all else fails, and we have to combine the search teams, everyone’s agreed that I should go with Maria and the others, that Anastasia should be the only one with Ontario when he confronts Laird Ferguson.
- Anastasia
We should have found her by now! Oh, I realize we need to be cautious, but…
- Anja Godunov
I convinced my sister and the Gonzales boy to head away from the others. I feel we’re close—but I also feel that as we close in, the more skittish they’re becoming. Yes, I know we’re untested—but holding ourselves back due to fear isn’t going to correct that!
- Devlyn
Such a good idea. Only wish I’d thought of it.
- Viktorio
What are they doing? Inconceivable—they’ve broken through our ranks and are closing in on Ferguson and his prisoner!
- Belle
I knew he didn’t care as much as he claimed. That’s why I never even gave a relationship with him a second’s thought. Besides, what’s the use when my heart belongs to another?
But still… If he cared for me at all, he’d have been here by now. Instead, I’m at Ferguson’s mercy—so far, he’s whipped me, removed my clothes, stretched my body to the point I was sure it would break, insulted me at every opportunity, crushed the bones in my feet and elsewhere, and… I can’t even bear to think about it.
- Warryn
Master’s worked up over nothing. So our trap failed; doesn’t matter. Soon, father and I come face-to-face—right before I blow his brains all over the place. And if the “lady” is conscious… so much the better.
- Anastasia
I feel so guilty for the way I treated Ontario—especially when I feel his inner turmoil. He blames himself that Belle’s still in Dark hands—but he shouldn’t, for it’s me who’s holding him back. I’m so much more cautious than the others, so…
- Brendyn
I removed myself from the rest in my group, unwilling as of yet to let them no how much older and more experienced I am than my brothers—and that they’re really _half brothers, as my father’s…
Anyway, once I was away from the others, I let my innermost barrier slip—enough to hear the Dark. And what I learned sent me scurrying back to my companions as fast as my legs could carry me.
- Kora Ferguson
How foolish can one be? One of my nephews—and adoptive children—just came to me, out of breath, and confessed that he “may have made a bad move”. Ya think? He may have jeopardized the entire operation, whose only hope of working was the element of surprise. Which we don’t have anymore.
- Maria
I overheard young Brendyn Gonzales talking to Kora Ferguson and, while I agree his actions were… less than wise, shall we say, I _don’t believe he jeopardized the mission. Just the opposite: he’s told us the Dark intend to move Belle to another location—have, in fact, begun to make the necessary preparations.
- Warryn
I was the one who suggested we take her elsewhere. “That way, you’ll have more time to toy with her before she dies.”
And I’ve volunteered to remain behind, to set the false trail. And Master is going somewhere else entirely, ensuring that there’s no way the “Light,” as they call themselves, can get to her in time.
- Belle
He’s thrown some sort of cover over the cage, so I can’t see. All I know is, I’m no longer where I was—as if I even know where _that is. I’m so confused, and battered—both physically and emotionally. How long will I have to suffer, I wonder, before death finally claims me?
- Ferguson
The spot is even more secluded than the first one—with even less chance that she’ll be found by those who “care” about her.
Besides, the whore’s dying. I no longer see that defiant spark in her eyes, and her breathing is labored and pained. It won’t be long now…
- Alonso
Its just another dead end, another trick to keep us off balance, to stop us from finishing what we set out to do.
- Anja
What surprises me is, we haven’t been attacked. I know Jordan’s team was, but we…
I also know the Dark are covering their tracks, setting false trails so there’s no way… But we _will find her—I just know we will!
- Ferguson
While she was sleeping, I unlatched the cage door and bound her fast to a stiff wooden board. Then I waited impatiently for her to stir.
And once she did, I was atop her, growling low in my throat. I’ve waited so long for this, and have been frustrated too long…
- Ontario
Anastasia wants me to use my Powers to locate Belle. “What will that prove?” I asked. “It’ll only serve to train the Darkness on us and—“
“They already know that,” she exclaimed irritably, “thanks to your idiot of a brother—and besides, even Maria says magic’s the only way to find her now. The Enemy have thwarted our efforts long enough; it’s time to fight, and fight hard, until the mission’s over!”
I know she’s right—but I’m also wondering why it took the better part of a week to make us realize…
- Ferguson
One, two, three. Short thrusts, like gunfire… and again the girl’s out cold—but this time, I push on. I’m excited by the feel, the smell, and the taste everything about her warms my blood and makes me thirst for more.
And the excitement doesn’t lessen as the female grows weaker. If anything, I feel more alive, drive myself onward: three, four, five, six, seven thrusts…
I finally stopped, out of breath, and lay down next to my prisoner, a satisfied smile upon my lips, too tired to move.
But no sooner had I lain down next to her than I heard a loud, gravelly voice boom, “You lay down now and you’ll never get up.” And I was up and running, more scared than I’d ever been in my life.
- Ontario
What in Universe’ name did he do to her? And how can I possibly heal her wounds?
- Viktorio
Inconceivable!
How did they find where she was? They must have the luck of a devil!
- Anastasia
I told the others to go. No use endangering them all. And besides, Ontario and I are more than capable of…
But one look at Belle’s cracked and battered form, and Ontario just fell apart. “Get up,” I hissed at him, “it’s not over yet”—but he seemed not to have heard me. And his eyes, always so warm and full of determination, looked back at me with… I’m not sure of the word to describe his haunted expression.
For a few tense moments, it’s like I was the older one and he younger. But finally, he tore his gaze away from Belle and stood—and none too soon: for there, walking toward us, grinning maniacally, was Viktorio. Without realizing it, I threw myself in front of Ontario and spread my arms wide, feeling the magic building within me. “Go!” I screamed—and Ontario scooped Belle into his arms and disappeared in one movement.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed another figure following after—but I kept my eyes focused on Viktorio. “Let’s see how inconceivable you think _this is,” I shouted as I released the energy in a devastating blast aimed straight for his evil face. Then, like Ontario, I vanished into thin air.
- Ontario
As soon as I left Tunisia, I breathed a sigh of relief. Belle and I would soon be back home, back where it was safe.
But soon, my sense of dread returned. Someone was behind me, someone who had followed me from that awful place.
- Maria
I didn’t want to leave them in such a perilous situation. “They’re only student trainees!” I cried.
“They stand a better chance without us,” Devlyn pointed out rationally.
“But—“ I began.
“Tell you what,” he suggested, “why don’t we wait somewhere close by—just in case. That way, even if we use transport spells, the distance is less.”
“Sounds good,” I agreed. And so we settled down in Algeria to wait.
- Alonso
In the middle of the night, we were told to move out, that Belle was safe. But for some reason, I remained behind. “I’d just feel better if I remained until they were on their way back to the School,” I said by way of explanation. Maria was about to argue—but both Devlyn and Anja nodded. And so, as my classmates began the arduous journey back home—for while it was agreed magic was necessary at times, it was also agreed it was to be used only in an emergency situation—I settled back down to wait.
And then, just as my eyes were drifting closed, I heard it: **Alonso, where are *you?
**Camped just outside the border between Tunisia and *Algeria, I answered, getting to my feet. *Why?
**Because I had to change my *spell, came the frantic reply. **I was halfway back to England when I realized I’m being *followed.
**Where are *you? I asked, thinking fast.
**I think I may have overshot a bit, as I seem to have gone to *Libya.
**Maybe he tampered with your *magic, I suggested, feeling my stomach muscles tighten painfully. **Listen, Bro, stay *there.
And with that, I was diving into the realm of possibly unpredictable magic myself, praying fervently that nothing went wrong with the casting.
- Viktorio
That… brat!
The blast knocked me off my feet, leaving me stunned and dazed. And when I caught my bearings, she was gone.
- Ferguson
I ran until I could run no further—and then I dropped to the ground like a stone, totally spent. But did sleep find me ? I wish.
But as I lay there, I began to get angry: I’d been so close, and then…It wasn’t fair, it just plain wasn’t fair; I’m Evil, and Evil’s meant to triumph!
I thought back to when I’d kidnapped the girl, when I at last had her in my clutches—and I wondered: perhaps if I’d combined torture methods, rather than dragging it out, she’d be long dead by now, and I’d have come away a winner. Ah, well—no use going on about what could have been. “I’ll get my revenge,” I vowed, “and if anything ever happens to me my children will take up where I left off.”
And with those words, my eyelids fell closed at last.

2, Kidnapped
1, Barren Landscape
A small iron cage sat on a knoll overlooking a barren wasteland. Inside, a young woman clutched the bars with desperate fingers, her vision obscured by a thick, dark blindfold. Apart from that, she was naked as the day she was born, her knees drawn up to her chest in an expression of helplessness. And under the cloth, her eyes blazed furiously and her temper seethed like a rousing serpent.

2, Humiliation
The rough material bit into her bare back, and Isabelle screamed involuntarily. Part of her still thought it was a horrible dream, but another part, logically, asked if one felt excruciating agony from such things.
Again and again the cords lashed her, until the blood ran thick and her vision clouded. ‘God,’ she prayed as her breaths came in wracking sobs, ‘take me away from this horrid place. I can’t bear it!’ And with that, she fell into the abyss they call unconsciousness.
Still, the whip continued to lay open the young woman’s flesh. Again and again it rose, and each time it fell there was more force behind the blow-until her spine cracked in at least three places and the whip’s owner was ready to drop with exhaustion.
Panting with exertion, The Ferguson put his “toy” away. “Until tomorrow,” he whispered to his captive, mind already devising the next round of humiliation.

3, The Wheel
The Ferguson smiled as he turned The Wheel, breaking into peals of laughter as his captive screamed and screamed. Again The Wheel shifted, and a resounding *crack reverberated through the desert, followed by a strangled sob as the young woman fainted. Still, Ferguson kept her feet under the Wheel of Destruction until all the bones were a fine powder and the flesh was in ragged strips. Then he grimaced, raising a hand uncertainly. “You were supposed to crush them, not mutilate them,” he muttered angrily.

4, Make it stop
She awoke to a scene straight out of the halls of most gruesome nightmare, or else one borne of hell itself. Her limbs were weighted down by sturdy iron chains, which were fastened to a hideous contraption of unknown origin, which was itself affixed to a lever set next to a group of iron bars—which was, she noted, one of the many bars lining the floor of her cage.
As the full horror of the situation sank in, the young woman began to sob and gasp for breath. ‘Make it stop,’ she begged silently. ‘Please, somebody, make it stop!’
