Welcome, all! Sit down on one of the couches, or pull up a chair: itâ??s all about comfort in my little place. Some of the furnishings have yet to be installed, but itâ??s still nice and comfortable :)

Music, food, games, talk--whatever you want :))

More food: Chicken lasagna and strawberries :) The berries need to be cleaned, but hey-I don't mind; I'm hungry for berries!

More fictional stories on the way (for some, I just look at a title from an older one, and a new one pops into my head; others are brand new)

Who'd have believed it? 1943 posts? Me? Naw!

I'm afraid to analyze my nightmare (more like a daymare, as I had it shortly before I woke up)

I only remember two details (well, maybe three): a sharp pain, screaming that faded to nothingness (and a voice saying something about the liver)

Well... one more detail: it was hard to force myself out of bed, and I was breathing hard (OK, maybe that brings the count to five)

It may or may not have inspired the direction the drama took (Alonso searched through the Histories to figure out whether his suspicions regarding his twin's condition were correct)

Mom's taking a nap, but wants me to call her by 5:30 as she has something in the oven

And I need to call Georgette: last night, I called when it wasn't a good time for her, and when she called back it wasn't a good time for me. She left three messages saying:
- "I really want to talk to you"
"I wish you'd talk to me"
"Call meas soon as possible"
"Let me know if you no longer want to be friends"
My phone was off, as Mom was over again and I figured it wasn't fair to keep telling Georgette I couldn't talk
At least once in the past, she got really bent out of shape when I didn't pick up the phone when she called, and she started to assume (wrongly) I wasn't her friend anymore
I've continually redirected her, explaining that there are times I just can't talk
After listening to the voice-mails,I felt bad: "It's my fault." After all, I'd just called*her*, but then wasn't available when *she* called me.
I did try to call back, but the line was busy.
"Maybe they were talking to her sister," Grandma suggested.

Two spills preparing dinner:
Knocked a container of chicken lasagna off the shelf, and the lid came off (I think I found it all and put it back in, but I'm not sure-so many tea bottles on that shelf)
Heated up a small bowl with macaroni, then knocked the bowl on the floor-fortunately, it was almost empty by then (crawled around on hands and knees until I no longer felt food under my hand)

trojan11 Hope you managed to find everything ok. I do that sometimes, when I'm, well, sort of blotto. Problem here is, leave anything on the floor and you have a whole load of ininvited guests. Some big, others almost, but only almost, microscopic.

That's what I'm afraid will happen here one of these days: uninvited guests

Please don't laugh, but I'm scared of tiny little ants (every summer, and spring, when Mom used to get them, I was a nervous wreck-and I'm not a hundred percent about this, but with me out of the house I'm guessing she got rid of that particular problem

Mom's had rats in her apartments, too, but I can't remember anything like that (I must have been too young to be affected-you'll notice I didn't add"or maybe I wasn't born yet," because I'm sure I was [she had me when she was still in school-I think she dropped out her last year of high school])

Well, that's nice!

Just tried to pay my energy bill online and got the following message: "The Web site you've requested is currently unavailable due to planned maintenance. Please try again later. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you."
Yeah, yeah, yeah-you just say that (but if my bill's late on account of it, you don't care) :(

In 2001, I attended a program called WINGS. One of the other participants, Tim, was very negative, and was known for the line "It'll never work." One of the instructors was known to say "that's nice" in a real sarcastic voice whenever Tim--or anyone else--said anything negative.

And mom's known for a heavily sarcastic "yeah, yeah, yeah"--I think I'm turning into her (isn't that scary?))

Daryl and Lisa's wedding is:
- On Friday night
- Outdoors
- During a month that's forecast to be cold (November)
Grandma asked her brother, last night, "What if it rains?" His response: "Hell, what if it snows?"
