'Morning'
Some years back, Georgette and I saw "Prince Caspian" in the theater.
It's on today again at 4,, and I missed part of the beginning last night-I spent the longest time not realizing what I was watching-so I think I'll tune it in again

Mom constantly teases me about not liking mushrooms (she loves them)
For a time, she stopped trying to hide them in food because they made me gag
Just ate a can of steak and potato soup (Campbell's Chunky), and very nearly gagged on one of the sliced mushrooms (I thought I was past that)

The other day, I told myself if Chris came then I'd push myself. And that's exactly what I did (we wen downstairs, though I didn't get the mail as Grandma already had).
The next appointment is Monday at 1:30.

I really like raw mushrooms, but NOT cooked! They are slimey, and make me gag, too.

Glad I'm not alone, VM. I thought I was the only person who liked raw mushrooms. Also like raw cauliflower and courgettes.

Raw cauliflower and broccoli are OK-as are carrots-but something about cold mushrooms turns my stomach.

Grandma got a perm today. It always takes a long time, so she never asks me to go along. Today, there was a woman in the hair place who got a spiral perm yesterday, and her hair was all messed up today. "$100 and I look like a witch!" "Well, did you wet it?" the manager asked. "No." "You can't use a pick on it when it's dry." "Nobody told me that!"
As Grandma was telling me this story, the first thought I had when she said '"$100 and I look like a witch"' was, 'Yeah, and you sound like one, too.'

Sorry about that - my family has made full and free use of ambulances, are grateful for them, but would be more grateful if we didn't need to use them.
I'm tempted to sympathise. If I spent $100 on a hairdo, and nobody told me how to look after it, or tried but didn't make sure that I understood, I think I'd sound like a witch too. Oh OK, even more of a witch.
