I guess the wax or whatever's blocking it (closing it) moves farther back
I've always had a wax problem, and I intend to set up an appointment to flush them out, but I didn't want to when the left was so sore andI felt so miserable (I don't want to get to the doctor's only to find they can't flush out the left ear because it's too sore and irritated)

Finished "Imager's Challenge" the other day
Reading it again as the narrator does a good job and it's one of those books that's so complex, you need to read it more than once to fully appreciate it

“I don’t know how he got enough Power to overcome Qydra…” No, he didn’t—it was Kora’s intervention, as she was determined to do whatever was necessary to ensure her nephews: (a) remained unresponsive to any efforts to revive them, and (b) that any possible threat to her plans was eliminated.

More Calculating
He’s a very ruthless demon, but at no point does he claim to be something he’s not. He can be very patient, staying his temper “when it suits.” He often says things that are true at the time—but a few hours later, things have changed. Only rarely does he utilize the same torture technique twice—and he loves a challenge, a fact he sometimes seems to forget as his lust for power and domination is awakened, but something which invariably causes him to change his tactics yet again. And he’s full of surprises.
At no point in the story is anyone comfortable around him: “The most common question we ask is, ‘What do I do? What do I do?”’ For he is more than just a wizard, warlock or sorcerer: “Qydra Assa Voliyno is not just the Fairy Lord, but is the Master of Qiryntian Warrior Demons.” All of this combines to form a very deadly mix indeed, and for that reason others feel utterly helpless around him.
Appropriately enough, his catchphrase is “I’m more calculating than that.” And he’s often indiscriminate in his attacks against both Forces of Light and Powers of Darkness: “He once threatened to kill Torture King for exhibiting sheer stupidity, and Waryn Gonzales for getting in the way of his plans. Then, he went right back to pursuing—and torturing—his cousin.”

Realm of nightmaes
I redid part of the tape again, and frankly am surprised I didn’t just record over the whole thing. It didn’t make sense—much of it doesn’t already, but it was more pronounced: the Fairy Lord would say one thing, then contradict himself in the next breath. ‘Then again, he never said he wouldn’t torture his cousin, just that he wouldn’t kill him. And he did say he didn’t need an excuse to torture him.’

I don’t li,ke stereotypes—but I have one in my stories: it concerns the relatives of the Dark. “Most people assume if you have evil relatives, then you are as well. Worrying
It’s been a year since Michael broke up with Jodie, and I get it’s hard for him, but the way he’s putting his life at risk… Smoking’s bad enough, but he routinely goes to bars and gets drunk—considering he’s on Coumidan, that’s just not wise.
According to emedtv.com, “alcohol intake can affect the medication in various ways. A consistent, moderate intake (such as one drink per day) is usually OK for most people. However, binge drinking (or even “saving up” for the weekend can increase the risk of bleeding—including dangerous internal bleeding. Chronic, significant alcohol use, such as with alcoholism, can have the opposite effect, making Coumidan less effective by increasing the risk of blood clots, while at the same time increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.”

After poring over books in the library, The Protectors learn everything they want to know about the rare illness: “It’s called Ostenvrano Khomarris (or Ostenvrano Qomarys, or O. Komaris, or O. Qomahrys). There’s no cure, though formula 5249 has been used in the past to relieve symptoms.” (5249 is notoriously known as ‘the sleep potion no one dare take.’ There’s a list of side effects which requires a magnifying glass, along with an equally small warning label, presumably for other demons. There’s more than one batch: Qiryntian , Scenorian, and the more common Stinokian—which is instantly lethal.””As O. qomahrys travels through a person’s bloodstream, his or her temperature continues to rise. Witches and wizards can survive body temps as high as 700dgF, and warlocks even higher than that—there have been cases of temperatures as high as 1500 and 2000F. But, eventually, the ill patient’s organs begin to fail simultaneously, and although a cure is being worked on there is nothing as of yet.”

First up, “Fatal Attractions.” What would possess someone to (a) keep a tiger as a pet, (b) blame the cat when he/she got hurt?

As the stress mounts on tapes seven and eight, so do ridicule and sarcasm. At one point, Maria makes fun of Devlyn because he seems “unable to form a coherent thought.”
Devlyn: Oh, please don’t be too hard on me.
Maria: “Oh, please don’t be too hard on me.” You sound like a little five-year-old!
