Mom brought over:
- Three containers of "assorted" leftovers;
- Two containers of ambrosia;
- Two containers of cranberry stuff;
- One container (Cool Whip) of pumpkin pie.
Georgette picked up:
- Large pump bottle of Gold Bond (came with sample tube of bodywash);
- Smaller tube of Gold Bond (looks just like what I'm using now)
Pump "accidentally" came open

I'm asking Georgette from now on to bring her own snacks and drinks.
She came around 2, and we ate a salad--but I don't have any fatfree or light dressing, or I don't think, so I'm sure she used regular (that shouldn't be, especially given all the sugar she took in this afternoon).
Had I not heard the refrigerator dor opening, and asked her what she was doing, I wouldn't have known she was getting a drink (regular iced tea--I didn't care, except that she didn't ask before she got it out).
Later, she asked for some peanuts and cashews (I keep waiting for the day when Georgette will limit her intake, but it seems not to be happening).
Later, she laid down with a headache (and I thought 'oh my God, what if it's something she ate?' After speaking to Grandma, I'm sure it was).
If she doesn't bring her own snacks and drinks, she has to be content withwater the entire time she's here (if something she eats makes her sick, at least it won't have come from me) :(

Wrote this draft up yesterday, but only just typed it:
===
The infant’s limp, bloody form lay on the floor of the circular chamber, only the slight rise and fall of his chest betraying the tiny spark of life still clinging to existence. His body was still wedged between the the hickory chair leg and stainless steel table leg, and his limbs were strapped down by overlapping threads and cords.
Suddenly, a head peeped tentatively around the doorframe, and three figures rushed to the youngster’s side. After ordering his companions to “secure the area,” the taller of the three knelt down next to /Fentyn and placed two trembling fingers on the infant’s wrist, breathing a low sigh of relief as his sensitive fingertips detected a faint pulse.
As if hearing the sound, one of his companions turned and squatted down next to him. “Lucian?”
“He needs a Healer, but I’d say he’ll puoll through.”
“Thank the Protector,” she exclaimed.

Time for bed
I'm listening to "The Tenderness of Wolves," now, not because I'm done with the other book but because I need a break from sanitation (or lack thereof)

Story time:
===
1
Anja’s brown eyes flashed. “I’m ten years old, Anastasia—old enough to take care of myself!”
Anastasia’s jaw dropped in surprise. Quickly, she recovered herself. “First of all, I don’t feed you, and second you’re *not taking care of yourself! That’s why we’re having this conversation. You know certain foods—“
“Back off, Ana. You’re not my mother!”
“No, but I’m the only family you’ve got!”

“I’m sorry, Anastasia, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I know you just care about me, and you’re concerned.”
“What kind of sister would I be if I allowed you to eat anything and everything you wanted?”
“You could never do that,” the ten-year-old replied softly.
“That’s what I’m saying, Anja!”

Took a bag of trash and a basketful of bottles to the other room (the trash shute and thre buckets for recycling are right next door)
When I came back filled the sink with soapy water
I need to gather some quarters together into the wallet I use for laundry (Mom's coming over around five or six)
Grandma's coming up tomorrow with ten tea bottles and six yogurts (the tea is the pints, 1/$1, and the yogurt is the La Yogurt, 4/$2; they also have the Dannon Fruit on the Bottom on sale 5/$3 and, this week, the Yopolait 5/$3-I might ask for some of them before Saturday, when Grandma comes up for the bazaar)
I'm signing off for the day

Found out last night I get GSN
When Mom got here, while she was putting the wash in the machine, turned on channel #7, which was playing "Friends;" didn't really payattention until 6:30, when "Two and a Half Men" came on
Turned to channel #74 around 7:30 when the commedy ended, and I couldn't find any other "funny" shows (Mom likes "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Seinfeld"); so we watched "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader (it was funny at times, because a rocket scientist got the very first question he was given wrong)

Thought Georgette had been in the Sweet Bologna Saturday, though wasn't sure as she didn't tell me; this morning, reached for the bag and it all fell out and that's how I knew (prior to Saturday, it hadn't been opened, and I didn't even have one piece)
Drank the last cup of chocolate milk last night (just opened Saturday, and only had one cup)
Surprised to find peanuts and cashews still left (prior to Saturday, hadn't opened cashews-I did give her permission to eat some, but it was right after that Georgette lay down with that headache, probably from finishing off the tea and eating all those nuts; had to tell her not to eat them all; oh, wait-she had that salad before the tea and nuts, not bad unless you count the fact that all I have is regular dressing, and that's when she opened the bologna-without asking if she could have some)
Note: I wouldn't have cared about the bologna, but the fact she didn't ask upsets me. And I'm one of those who believes that, although technically she's not supposed to be drinking regular tea, a little is all right (but she can't be content with a little, but finishes off the bottle-and doesn't even tell me it's gone)
"And she wonders why she's overweight!" (not nice, I know-she refers to me as her "best friend," and looks up to me like a "sister," though I don't see her as anythijng other than a friend-without the "best" and she already has a sister)
Rant done :((

| Didn't dream about Georgette, but did have a nightmare in which I fell down an incline or something (I think there were poisonous plants at the bottom). Haven't had a similar dream in years, not even related to my stories (the last vivid nightmare of a similar nature, yet diferent, also from years ago, was the one in which I was being chased through the woods by a gunman and trying to outrun bullets. Or there was the one about being dunked underwater in the swimming pool by bullies, or the one about my toenail getting caught on an electric fence in the middle of the ocean). |

My phone was charging, so when Georgette called I missed it. She said that, when I called last night, she'd just gotten out of the shower, and she then went to bed as she still didn't feel well. And she just took a tylenol for her headache, as she has to work this afternoon. And she requested (demanded, more like) I call her back around five or six tonight.

Grandma's response to these things is perhaps a lot harsher than mine will be once I've calmed down, though I'm going to report the problem to Compeer and request a call-back from her caseworker at MHMR
